Mercenary mode horde

Mercenary mode for horde never work i have it enabled for 2 weeks now but not single time i have joined Bg as alliance yet on the other side every time on alliance character i join as horde when mode enabled
So does this work ? Why it only work on alliance side

Mercenary mode just puts you on the side that is lacking people so matches start faster.
You'll only play on Alliance if the Horde side is full and Alliance is the one missing players.

Mercenary mode is used to fill spots in the opposite team. There almost always are more alliance players than horde players, thus it's unlikely that you will play as an alliance player.

I guess it sucks wish if it was forced and randomized because most bgs are premade and no balance between factions

You can change your faction for 30 points.

I turned off merc mode because it crashed my game after every bg. It worked for a few bgs but now it's putting me in opposite faction bgs again, I check my settings and merc mode is still turned off (opt-in checkbox is not ticked). Help?

When you enter bg quee right click icon under minimap and you will see mercenary mode turn it off
