They were never catch-up items (they were improvements to the design of crafting professions and to help provide an edge to those that were *stuck* on non-current content, which is no longer the case even for casual guilds), and following the schedule you had planned won't make them viable catch-up gear either.
The raiding community could largely be split into two to explain this:
A) Those that don't need them and can skip them, and...
B) Those that could use the extra edge; but these raiders won't have the time to go back and hunt for singular upgrades for half of the raid while they could be working their way through current content with larger rewards waiting *for everyone*. Had the content been a LOT harder, and players were literally stuck and unable to progress into BT, then you'd have a point, but with the nerfs applied it's not the case even for the most unorganized of us (pugs will also clear BT).
While I wouldn't mirror his attitude, he's right about it being very poor design to release profession content at a time it simultaneously becomes obsolete.
You seem to have some major issues coping with catch up items just not being for you.
I hit the wrong button... what I wrote above is in response to this.
And I could've also mentioned the flawed design that Blizzard improved upon (using the knowledge of hindsight after observing how the content was received and utilized) such as casters getting an alternative to using an agility meta gem, and spell hit being an early-game issue for everyone which was fixed with spell hit gems. The factions also provide the solo player with more content to do, and in general players enjoy better itemization and more customization which the crafted pieces allow for besides making the in-game economy to thrive (off which you profit through gold/coin trading on this website).
Ps. People without at least a level 60 on Onyxia shouldn't be able to vote on this poll.
The list is a bit odd though.
There are some items on the list that are in the game already. (some gems, cobrascale gloves for example)
Some items on the list should definitely not be in the game early (Haste gems, but they require rep that is not available so no big deal).
Other than that none of the other items are really game breaking.
I dont understand why people want all these items early, they will make already way too easy content even easier. But majority vote I guess.
Yeah its completely botched.... Like they have Veiled Noble and the spell crit meta listed in "phase 1" yet neither are in the game yet. I don't think they even know whats in/out of their game. Weird.

Doesn't matter if we paid for it or not. We invest our time into the server and expect them to care about what their players want. Most of us have paid for it through donations as well so that is an stupid argument.

why are u so angry. He is right, veiled noble is in the phase 1 list while it's actually not in the game.
Salty leatherworkers and blacksmithers gonna seethe because they will lose their revelance exclusivity, Because most of people were based and voted yes.
