1. Healing in Wrath

I've been a little bit curious, as to how healing is in Wrath overall. There's really only 2 classes that I heal with, but I am picking up a third. the 2 i normally play being Shaman and Priest, but I'm picking up Paladin as well. Druid I've always been on the fence about as a healing class since most of their stuff always seemed to be over time heals and I'm not that good at micro-managing them that well

  2. Healing in Wrath is relatively easy compared to other expansions.

Holy Paladin is a great choice and a highly sought-after healing spec in raids. Just make sure to keep Beacon of Light on the tank, maintain Judgement of the Pure buff and spam Holy Light - everything else you’ll pick up with experience.

As for Resto Druid, there's not much to micromanage at all, though I understand that healing can feel complicated at first - it happened to me too. Just spam Wild Growth, and while it's on cooldown, spam Rejuvenation. If you get an Omen of Clarity proc, use Lifebloom to regain mana. If someone is in danger, use Swiftmend. There are a couple of other mechanics, but you'll learn them with time.
Resto Druid is super fun, though!

Ah, I see. I've never healed in Wrath expansion, cause I joined the official servers in a much later expansion, so I'm a little curious how Shaman and Holy Priest does. I don't really heal as Discipline Priest because the idea of doing damage to heal never really sat with me, I like Holy a lot to just direct heal

  4. Holy priests are viable, but not very popular. Groups will prefer a disc priest. Resto druids are more popular than holy priest, but they're not necessary in higher geared endgame raiding or the best option. I've been able to play both; they just aren't as requested as hpally/rsham/disc.

ah, darn... so i'd have to swap to disc if i wanna get raids and end game dungeons....

Unless they want a specific role for the raid comp then all you really need to be is a competent healer. I join pugs as a holy priest all the time. Sometimes I drop my shadow spec for disc just to be nice and offer both options since it really can make a difference depending on the raid group and the fight but I've never actually witnessed a situation where disc would make or break the kill.

  7. I see. I would just rather stick to what I'm comfortable with. I've just never cared for Disc Priest healing. I've always much preferred to be Holy

  8. You mentioned that you don't like the idea of dealing damage to heal. Unlike newer expansion that is not at all the case with disc in wrath. You will find yourself spamming shields most of the time. Other than that you will use your healing spells like Penance, Prayer of Mending, Flash Heal, Prayer of Healing, Renew. The dealong damage to heal didn't get introduced yet in wrath.
