Develop an "must be installed" addon/tracker to play ranked brackets
Since there is a tons of scripting and cheating on arena guys with million alt accounts (especially those who pushes high rates) starting from AHK scripts ending with PQR and such pannels where people dont even has to use their rotation abilities by their own , I highly suggest to finally made 2v2/3v3/SoloQ closed untill you won't install a client-side tracker developed by warmane team which will monitor any background processes affecting game window and which buttons were pushed while game window is open , AND ideally will automatically kick from arena / ban a guy who , for example , has AHK in running processes , something similar to Battlefield with their BattleEye anticheat .
The problem is that there is no addon or tool able of tracking third-party software, not really simple.
Additionally, updating the client download page would disrupt the torrent seeding process, as one of the staff members already mentioned.
The best solution is to review the arena games of the suspected scripter and demonstrate consistent behavior patterns.
For example: a Death Knight who always interrupts with exactly a 0.55 second delay every time.

Even the most basic cheats know to add a random delay to actions.
The wow client already has an anti-cheat built-in.

Yes, but that’s not enough. Most cheats introduce a delay (which the user can adjust in the cheat settings), so relying only on the client’s built-in anti-cheat isn’t effective. We need to come up with something more effective, since the current system is being bypassed.

As far as I am aware, the client anti-cheat system has flaws that allow the server to execute arbitrary code on the player's machine, which is as good as asking the player to run a program alongside the client for anti-cheat purposes. If the staff wanted to, they could use this to check for cheats, and perhaps they already do.
That’s nice. So you can simply report someone, and the staff team will run a few checks by executing code on the player’s machine. They only perform these checks if the player has been reported, which is a good thing.

Are you playing ranked arena ? If you do then if you played at least 100 games in any bracket you would notice that there is almost every 3rd game - you are playing against somebody who melds instacast abilities , jumps over snake traps , jump+trinket's instacast cc , turns 180 degrees to interrupt cast , fakes overpowers even if they got debuff from it already and so on . If you really think that staff 'checks' (btw you need to find at least 2 arena games where guy is "obviously" cheating to make him banned , and most cases - you need to send a report at least 3 times to ban 1 scripting guy) makes something to a person who already has at least 2 accounts with full bis chars - Im really dont know what to say . My suggestion comes from the fact that this system is completely useless so far , since any guy who plays arena with scripts manages to reach 2050+ cr at blackrock , equip full bis items and then do the same exact thing from another account , and only then his 1st char that you reported an eternity ago finally gets banned , while he already thinks to make 3rd alt on 3rd account . And im not even talking about the fact that for some reason , most of such cases where evidence of somebody scripting is completely obvious for anyone who really plays arena more than 1 month , from Admin's perspective looks like completely possible thing and at least 2/3 reports they count such , for example , AMS > HOJ cases where there is a dispell class in DK's team while he has zero other debuffs as a case where , in provided example , DK was just expecting such HOJ , so its completely not scripts but pure skillz/ just lucky . Those "reports" works well for racism/scam/ninja loot/any other minor violations , but almost completely useless in arena cases .
Since Blackrock has instant 80 with full Relentless gear and it’s cross-realm, good luck wasting your time reporting scripters.
Honestly, if I were the Warmane owner, I’d just allow scripting in PvP, there’d be zero crying on the forum after that, because we all already know that 70% of arena players are scripting in arena.

I agree with you, but the Game Masters team isn’t very large, maybe around 10–12 active GMs in-game (at least that was the case the last time I checked, about 2 years ago). The rest of the staff are mainly developers or part of the moderators team.
Because of that, it’s not realistic to expect GMs to spend all day spectating every single arena match. That’s why an updated anti-cheat system is essential. For example, if a player consistently interrupts their target’s cast at the exact same moment every time, the server could track this behavior. If the timings are identical across multiple casts (every cast interrupt timing match the previous), the system could flag it as suspicious and notify the GMs for further review.
Most scripts have a preset delay that the user defines, so it’s expected that the interrupt timing will often be identical. I also doubt that most scripters would bother constantly adjusting the delay after every interrupt.
There’s already a lot of pressure on the team, so the best long-term solution is definitely to improve and update the anti-cheat system.
This will limit the kick-bot users and not the other kind of scripts, i currently don't have any idea about tracking them.
