Dear Warmane Staff
I hope you're all doing well and staying energized as you continue to shape the future of the server and its community. I’m writing with a sincere request on behalf of many players who are deeply invested in the game and its competitive scene.
As you plan the release of the next expansion, I kindly urge you to consider the timing—specifically avoiding major launches during the holiday season. This time of year is when many of us are traveling, spending time with family, or simply unavailable due to long-standing personal commitments. It’s a period where real life understandably takes precedence, and as much as we’d love to dive into fresh content, it becomes incredibly difficult to do so without feeling like we’re missing out or falling behind.
For players who are part of competitive guilds or who thrive on being there for the launch hype, this timing can be especially frustrating. It creates unnecessary pressure to choose between personal life and in-game progression, which can dampen the excitement that usually surrounds a new expansion.
We all appreciate the immense effort and passion your team pours into these releases. That’s exactly why we want to be fully present to enjoy them, to contribute to the community energy, and to make the most of the experience.
A release date that falls outside the holiday window would allow more players to participate actively, ensuring a stronger, more vibrant launch for everyone involved.
Thank you for taking this into consideration. We’re all looking forward to what’s next, and we hope to experience it together—at a time when we can give it the attention and enthusiasm it deserves.
I don't see it being released before January. That's shortly after the three month mark of Sunwell phase release which is the minimum any previous phase has lasted. May not even see an announcement till late November.
> > mid december at worst and mid november at best
uUgonna be kidding xD
Once they announce it will take 1 month SWP => wotlk prepach. Then 2 weeks of pre-patch. Meaning 1.5 months since the announcment. We are at 29 October and we still have no annoucment tho :P
Naxx lasted 4 months last year. They released a TBC PTR and it had a multitude of issues which delayed the announcement for months.
We haven't seen a WotLK PTR yet. It may not have the same level of issues as TBC, but do you guys think the transfer they're doing will be 100% flawless? Also will everything be correct for phase 1? Those are things that need testing. It isn't just a copy/paste of Icecrown realm.
Do you guys think they will cut Season 4 shorter than all the other seasons? Don't you think they will at least release Sunwell gear on store at some point?
There's a process. I don't think at this point there's even a decision to make because it's not ready.

Which was a mistake to be in naxx vanilla for 4 month. most guilds quit at that point and on Alliance side you couldn't even do raids anymore. horde side was Ok at best and even that was so frustrating.
right now player base went up from 4-3k average to 7-6 just because people hoping that prepatch is gonna be soon in November. They don't want sit 4 month into last phase just be able to do SWP which they can't even do it because of how dead RHC and pug scene raid is. you might say you can join a guild and do raids but let's be honest, no one wants to recruit fresh lvl 70s or spend time and effort doing old raids just to gear them up and do SWP. most people are just doing pvp and even then they still don't get to ZA or SWP runs ( even tho this season PVP gear is better than t4 and somewhat near-equal to t5 gear).
and don't start on GDKPs because they're all a joke which no one wants to spend questing the entire tbc farming gold and then spend all of it in a single ZA run which they don't even get half of the gear they want.
So right now, everyone are looking forward to early prepatch release and that's why server is a lil bit better than what it was before in the last phase.
A player's ability to catch up or the amount of players kicking and screaming for Wrath or the amount of players running endgame content has no bearing on when the next phase is released. It never has.
Players raiding Sunwell and players participating in Season 4 will be given a fair amount of time to finish that content. I've never seen content cut short because of any of the reasons you mentioned.
You can wait. You will survive. It's ok to go do something else for the time being. We all know you'll be back anyway.
Yes we get it you're a TBC andy but you and your guild are not the only ones playing here. so the 0.1% of players doesn't matter when the majority of them want something else.
the majority didn't start at the expansion release and had a guild to do stuff. they just came here for the only purpose of Wotlk. don't act like server population is decent enough to progress the through phases and get to raid SWP. I did the "13 reasons why" to make a point and I'm sorry, when the majority wants something else your opinion doesn't matter anymore.
Although this is all up the devs what thay want to do.
