1. I have additional questions.

Honor wasn't reset at pre-patch in 2008 so why is Warmane deciding to do that? This is proven in blue posts and multiple articles.

Will the item level 156 cloaks and trinkets be available in pre-patch at least?

Will the remaining raid bosses be nerfed by 30% including world bosses? Where Sunwell was already nerfed to pre-patch values, will that receive any additional change?

Will scourge invasion be completely available including zombies and Prince Tenris Mirkblood?

If S4 will end before pre-patch and S4 gear will stay the same currency then does that mean arena will continue pointlessly during pre-patch to continue farming points for gear? Meaning the arena games and rating mean absolutely nothing except a point farm?

  2. Sure. Let's go along with your idea of a poll.
First of all, we need to give a month of prior notice. After all, if we're going the democratic route -- EVERYONE needs a chance to get to vote, and we will have to announce there's a poll coming so that everyone can acknowledge it. The poll would start at the 10th of december.
Then we give the people a week to cast their votes. By december 17th, the poll closes and then the final decision is made. And then, pre-patch starts a few days later, december 22th.

    Would that make you happy?
If we’re talking about the active player base only, then giving a full month’s prior notice doesn’t make much sense, right? Instead, I’d suggest meeting somewhere in the middle — we could start the poll tomorrow and keep it open for two weeks (14 days). That way, by around November 25th, we’d have a clear picture of what the truly active majority of players actually want.

If it turns out that people would like to play WotLK during the Christmas holidays, I believe there’s still enough time to prepare for that release.

From my perspective, the community is quite forgiving when it comes to bugs — we don’t expect a perfect world. We can tolerate some issues and glitches to some extent, as long as our voices are heard. Playing an imperfect version of WotLK and preparing for T7 content during the Christmas holidays is still better than waiting for a more polished release afterward and only having a week of working days to catch up — spending just an hour a day after work and family duties.

  3. Will the content difficulty ever be re-evaluated, or is it final and staying at retail values (Icecrown)?
    I hope i'ts final

Most of people are not masochists that enjoy wiping for 3 hours every boss

We can't rush things if we're going the democratic route. Every voice counts, incluiding those who log in just once a month. It's not a fair democracy if a percentage of the people don't get the chance to vote.
Or, maybe should we make a poll to decide when the poll is going to start, then another poll to decide when it's going to end? After all, we need a clear picture of what the players actually want, huh? Hell, let's make a poll to ask the players if they even want one!

Besides, I ask you and others to stop pushing the narrative that the decisions are being made based off feelings and impulse. This tactic of demeaning the Staff will get you nowhere. We decided to make the change because we want everyone to have the opportunity to experience the launch of a new expansion, which is very big and important for everyone. It is best to have the launch 2 weeks later than have people missing out the launch date, and this decision is final. This outcry wouldn't even have started had the Staff used the current dates first.

You asked, "Would that make you happy?" — but it seems like you're not really interested in hearing the answer.

First of all, Obnoxious referred to everyone in this thread as trolls or a minority. But when I try to propose a way to run a poll with unbiased data, you bring up the point of democracy, claiming that not everyone has the chance to vote. But isn’t it the opposite? The real issue is that instead of listening to feedback, you’re closing your ears to anything that doesn’t align with your stance.

I believe it might actually be more beneficial for you to close the forum entirely. That way, your player base wouldn't even have a platform to share their opinions or thoughts. Then, Obnoxious wouldn’t have to call everyone in the room a troll.

Honestly, just close the forum — no excuses, as simple as that.

  6. A poll wouldn't make sense in this scenario because even if 10% couldn't make the dates due to holiday plans then your launch would still be crippled.

Where I'm from December 25th and January 1st everyone gets off work and they don't play games on those holidays. They will likely be taking Friday after those holidays off so they can have a long weekend to travel and visit family. I don't expect them to be spending time on WoW especially where they won't even be at home. So it's just common sense to wait two weeks. That's an insignificant amount of time. If people can't understand that concept then they're likely just really selfish or have zero respect for others.

    i agree with you

  8. I hope i'ts final

Most of people are not masochists that enjoy wiping for 3 hours every boss
I mean only low skill players wipe for 3h in naxx

  9. badge of justice

Will the collected Justice Badges be reset or will we keep what we've earned in the next expansion?

  10. at this point it's pointless to argue further about anything. they already said changes won't submit so that's it.

  11. To all of you still complaining:

The current updated dates will STAY. You might have free time, some others doesn't. Staff doesn't either. You're probably expecting that we will change it back to go and have a laugh on the internet. Give up.
Dont aplogise Palutena ,neither you or any of the staff here should do so to these people.
Never say sorry or explain to these "people". Because then you wouldn't be throwing pearls to swine, but holy things to hyenas who will bite you in return as evidence of the MASS brigading and mass harassment organising from discord/app as proven by the posts in this thread.

Its important to remind the staff that its not because you are the most popular WoW server or even a WoW server and have given hundreds of thousands of players over the years happy memories, what matter is that even IF you havent done that....its as you as a creator has the same rights as a artist/singer who draws or sings in their own particular style have the right to do so without the need to respond to people who arent interested in discussing things, but to browbeat and harrass until you give in.

What matter is that as fellow creator, be it in art, singing or programming or creating a experience for people, you follow what YOU FOLKS want to create.

Not what the majority want which is arguing from majority, a logical error.
Or even the "experts" wants, which is arguing from fake authority
You, you are the authority in wanting to create what you want since its your creation and you who ultimate decide what you want.
Its your right as creator, if people disagree, even if one would argue from fake authority position, they literally CANT create anything. they can only take and demand.
    ITS NEVER ENOUGH!

They dont have empathy and can only use a insidious twisted version of it to try manipulate you. Like saying they"well I gave money to you", but in reality it was for their own self interests as evidence they used those coins them self.
even worse those who say "Well I play on your server" since even if it wasnt the most popular one or just started out, no person unless play a mmorpg for charity for said reasons.

For the psychological well being of the honorable staff here, due to the fact that the former affects the physiologic health.

"Understanding the relationships between physiological and psychosocial stress, cortisol and cognition"
    https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC10025564/

There should be a discussion with the staff, ESPECIALLY during the holidays where its even more stressful staff, that they should either not allow replies in threads where players might organise to try to harrass staff to change OR they should have an ingame warning to those players if they try to organise again, it SHOULD be considered WORSE then because you are literally affecting the physiological health of the staff by trying to organise people using discord to browbeat and put down the staffs dignity as human beings until they do said harassers tell them to do.

There should also be a question to all staff:what is good for the psychological health of the staff first?
Even if all servers shutdown tomorrow, that question is not a problem for players and non players those who understand the concept of gratitude. Since due the fact of my OCD there are some things that I wanted change but understood the priority of the creator goes first, since it would be like going into a persons house and demand things if you are a guest in it. It is gratitude but also empathy due to even if you didnt create all these things, you dont deserve the browbeating.

so put the poll tomorrow. we dont need a month to prepare for clicking on the poll...

Thanks for the concern, but don't worry.
We've been at this for a long time, most longer than a decade. We've taken dumps that were harder to handle.

  14. Now a poll for releasing S4 gear during pre-patch like they did in Classic that's a different story. We had a similar poll earlier this year.

I honestly would really like that change to promote more PvP activity in the pre-patch, but also to create a better dungeon experience in the leveling process being paired with randoms. I strongly preferred that change in Classic compared to how it rolled out in retail.

I mean they're gonna do the wotlk retail values, but they are not gonna make s4 available to buy with honor:)
there was a blue post even back in the day about this and blizzard implemented it.
