there are huge groups wintrading on Onyxia and blackrock and I would like to follow up on this topic to find out why nobody cares. Sure, they are not causing any harm, but they are obtaining items they dont deserve and we should not be closing our eyes on this topic. It is still cheating and fradulent behaviour, therefore should not be allowed or accepted. I have reported this in game and in bug tracker. My reports were not solved and was deleted from the tracker.
This leads to simple questions: Is this allowed? If so, why is that? Can someone please explain this?
Here is the scheme of 29 people wintrading on Onyxia. 4 teams. Their matches are exactly 60 seconds long, 0 dmg, 0 healing, mutliple matches in row with the same team. Its clearly not happening on low rating, where people are only playing 10 games to cap points - teams are reaching 2200 rating through this. Clear wintrading.
Can you please take care of this or explain why is this allawed?
Thanks.

Reason: REMOVED LINKS BY MODERATOR
I think the numbers under match history and some of the statistics in the armory are not displaying correctly. I'm not sure why. Maybe it's overall or it's just with 5v5 bracket or just on Onyxia server. So it appears that there is win trading happening, but it's just data not displaying.
No, you can rewatch the games in spectator mode and its clearly wintrading. Also sort the data by the time and date and you can clearly see they are playing against the same team until they reach certain rating 2050, 2200, etc..
Also the links were removed by the moderators from my original post. Why?
I see multiple complaints about these people and nobody does anything about it and they keep on gearing up their Characters with wintrading when some of the teams try hard to get to 2200
Also the links were removed by the moderators from my original post. Why?
Because you're breaking Forum rules.
Your self-appointed "righteous crusade" doesn't supersede them.
You want to report someone, do it properly, period. This isn't negotiable or open to discussion or to whining if your reports are dismissed.
My reports were deleted, links here were removed, etc.. Lets see if something happens now.
Since many users fail to understand why such rules exist, I will tell you two important things:
1 - The Game Masters don't spend the day reading the forums looking for reports. They read the tickets in-game. Moderators won't be copy-pasting random forum reports to deliver. We have another job which is to keep the forum organized and help with doubts.
2 - Posting here will make players start a witch-hunt not only against the reported player but probably against you too. Keep that in mind.
I did do it properly and my reports were removed, not answered or deleted so I posted them on forum, but it seems to be still the same.
1) Ingame reports were dismissed without any action
2) Thanks for this information, very helpful. So this means if someone is cheating, you are keeping your eyes shut and we should do that as well. So if everyone can see they are wintrading and people complain about them, its a bad thing? Do you want people cheating on the server to become a norm if you take no actions to stop this?
Again, everything was deleted by moderators here and I am not bothering posting the teams again since you gonna delete them again.
Real question is: Do you care about wintrading?
If not, thats ok, but everyone should be avare of this possibility in game and can obtain items through this manner.
If yes, why those people were never punished since I am hearing multiple people are reporting them, but they always get away with it.
And I believe those questions and topics are valid forum discussions. Wintrade or not to wintrade.
And sorry, but that is just bull****. 4 teams playing only against each other on 2k+ rating with 0 healing and 0 dmg.
I saw the links and I know what teams you're talking about. They're random 5 v 5 teams. They aren't the top rated teams and 5 v 5 gets no rewards. Few players queue for the bracket at any time so usually you are matched against the same team and usually the bracket is used for a point farm. It isn't considered a serious bracket here and players will literally just throw games for fast points.
My only question though is why would some random person put so much effort and energy into trying to get a couple teams banned in a meaningless bracket that aren't even ranked at a competitive level anyway? I don't believe you just sat there and clicked through teams and match history until you found something. Maybe they kicked you from their team and you're out for vengeance. This would never matter to the average player.
No, I just dont like people cheating and found those flexing their s4 shoulders so I checked how they got them and found they are wintrading so I reported them. I was never part of any of those teams and I am not anyhow associated with them.
I love how it got from talking about cheaters and wintraders to the motives of person reporting the issue and what's wrong with me. I guess 2025.
5s bracket sure, its about capping points, but you dont get to 2050 or 2200 only with losing vs. random teams or the same teams.
I am just not going to close my eyes if I see clear cheating/wintrading and Jmsvanbuskirk if you dont care about other cheating and you are interested in attacking honest person that reports fradulent behaviour, please dont do it here. Its just disgusting.
The motive matters in this situation because your intention may not be to actually eliminate cheaters in general, but to eliminate specific players that rubbed you the wrong way. And you just implied that motive when you said "flexing their s4 shoulders". There was a reason you went stalking their profiles.
The main thing I'm saying is catching a cheater on this level doesn't mean much and is hardly worth pursuing. 5s isn't taken seriously. If it were players in 2s or 3s seriously pushing for rating and competing for titles and rewards then it's a different issue. The difference of stealing a gumball vs a full sized television. It's hardly even worth the time investigating.
In this specific scenario only one of the teams has S4 shoulders that I can see. They achieved those nearly legitimately over a month ago. But you are correct about wintrading, these teams all share the same guild. You can clearly see where they traded wins to push over 2200 and later on extensively all these teams traded wins to get over the 2050 mark. It was executed very poorly and is quite obvious.
So as I said perhaps it wasn't taken seriously. Perhaps your in game report wasn't clear. Perhaps there wasn't enough evidence to condemn. Perhaps they did get banned later on although in this case they probably wouldn't be banned for long as it isn't that severe.
