Devourer of souls, the starter quest for succubus chain quest isnt working, you cant get it. Just tried it as an Orc, dont know the other races, probably they arent working too.

Y, sorry, lvl 70, frostwolf. Gan'rul Bloodeye do not give the starter quest for the chain.

Finally got some time to test this and it's working just fine (tested on FW with a lvl 30 orc). Gan'rul is definately the person that starts the chain so perhaps you started it and forgot? Follow the quest guide and visit each npc to see which quest you're on. Don't forget to turn on "low level quests" in the tracker.

I just want to ask if it is required to complete all my warlock quests to get the Felhunter quest chain. I followed your guide step by step but still I am unable to take up the Felhunter quest. I am from Deathwing.

I am making a ticket and I hope it gets answered soon. I believe there something wrong with my afflock.

No you shouldn't have to complete the previous minion quests to get that the FH (I skip the succubus line all the time). If you're sure you're not midway through the questline; you checked all the npcs after the starter quest, then yea I'd make a ticket. Starting quest id: #2996

Use Drain Soul on a mob while it dies.
You can get a minor glyph that will just make the ticks have a chance for a soul shard also.

You words are wrong wasabicannon ... the glyph gives you a chance to get 1 extra shard occasionaly (http://www.wowwiki.com/Glyph_of_Drain_Soul)... you always have a chance to get a shard from the ticks (http://www.wowwiki.com/Drain_Soul read patch changes, the 3.1.0 patch change), but when the target dies under the Drain Soul debuff it has 100% chance to give you shard and the glyph just have a chance to double the shards you get during the drain soul, nothing more!

Trying a warlock right now, what professions should I pick for leveling? I have a mage with ench/tailoring, that's why I don't really want to use the same on warlock. I really want to try herbalism/alchemy cause never got those. What do you think?

alchemy is good, herbalism really isn't but if you don't have another char that you can put herb on it's fine.

The Best would be non gathering professions...jc, bs, tailoring, enchanting, alchemy...make a dk and do herbing with it and mining so you can farm mats for your warlock ....or level with herbing but once you get serious with your lock drop it and pick something else imho

I think you need to re read some of those links.
Glyph of Drain Soul does give you a chance to get extra shards. (You can get 1 shard per tick if your lucky)

The proc rate for the spell is believed to be somewhere in the area of 5%, so with this glyph you will only receive an extra Soul Shard 1 out of 20 times.

So if you are lucky that 5% proc rate can happen on every tick.

I'm level 80 on Sargeras. I every single minion except the succubus.
