Fury it's a spec which it's quite easy to learn and to master as endgame dps but it's the worst leveling spec you can choose. You will miss a lot because of the dual wield and this increases the chances to ragestarve. It's a gear dependant spec so I wonder if arms pve will be superior as dps in the first two raid tiers. From TOC you should be able to reach higher amount of armor penetration and fury should dominate again.
Btw, Rares, even arms is always pvp ready, and Juggernaut is the arms counterpart of the Warbringer talent in the protection tree.
Arms and Fury are heavily gear dependent, while prot is not, I always level as prot because of superior survivability + dmg is not even that lower than Arms/Fury on single target, dmg is actually a lot better than Arms and Fury in aoe situation, which will grant you more XP per hour.
Also if you chose to run some dungeons, you will not have problems finding a group.
When it comes to pvp while leveling, prot just annihilate everything on its way, especially melee specs.
Trust me, arms is a really good aoe spec too. I mean, have you heard about Bladestorm? And it's not so gear dependant because you have so many talents increasing your chances to crit. Impale, improved overpower, unrelenting assault, juggernaut, wrecking ball...

Yeah but you get bladestorm at level 60 soooooo... From lvl 1-60 you lack one of your main AOE abilties :) But still ARms is fun also to a certain extent but i like prot survivability better :)
Arms is better because you kill mobs way faster than in Protection and your AoE is also better. Sweeping Strikes will copy your Bladestorm ticks if there are at least 2 mobs next to you doing insane amount of damage. Even if you don't have Bladestorm you can copy your Cleave hits with Sweeping Strikes destroying everything really fast. Any warrior should have Shield Block and Shield Wall macros so stop making it sound like only Prot has these spells. Warriors - remember to have a shield in your bag even if you're not speced into Protection.

Yeah i know that but warriors won't get bladestorm till lvl 60 :P I just enjoyed prot warriors more cause they are way nicer to play then arms haha!
Don't forget that if the tank in your dungeon party crashes or log out after a ragequit, you can always try to take his place and finish the dungeon without looking for another one. Sure, you will miss some crowd controls and defensive cooldowns but if you are playing in a good party nothing should go wrong. I've done it three or four times the last time I've leveled my arms warrior.
I really dont see arms leveling faster than prot. Prot is kinda boring but u can constantly kill like 10 mobs of ~ your level at once with some cds, as well as solo anything thats big (even killed 20x 54 undeads in WPL while I was 52 at once, with potion and absorb trinket, prot is just op).
Casters are annoying at earlier levels but u can always just los them. + You basically oneshot people with block+slam. At 60+, u can even respec to hybrid build with 0 cd Improved revenge which makes u literally unstoppable(as long as u fight groups of melees).
Basically what Feralbeard said.
Another thing worth mentioning is that playing prot feels so much better until 40 because u can always use something (free heroics) while arms is just always waiting for autoattacks.
I'd much rather play arms at all times, but prot is just too sick to overlook.
Protection works well when you get shield slam and revenge, other spec would be slam spec arms for leveling, fury is also really nice if you got really good 1 handers (till 60)

To be honest you are fine with just revenge... When you get improved revenge that is when prot shines a lot :)
I'm going to level a warrior too when lord will be released, and if i were you i'd go arms just cause it has more damage than prot, aoe wise prot is better but arms its just consistent throughout the game
By far prot warrior is the best lvling spec to 60, especially since RDF looks like it will be up as well making dungon farming a possible way to level if you enjoy that
