Honestly MoP pvp is pretty hard to get into if you're more use to the old ways going back to Cata, WoTLK, etc. If you wanna do any kind of Wpvp, you might wanna grind out BIS PvE gear as its far better in the open world and Legendary ring is OP in both PvE and PvP.
Yes PvP Power is in the game and that increases your DPs, Heals, and damage reduction and if pvp gear is in game then pvp power is in game. Your stats in pvp combat go up as soon as you enter combat.
Actually like i said above, PvE gear is still better then pvp gear in open world and sometimes better in arena/bg's.
which is the most fun expansion for pvp? Over all they're all pretty rough if you really enjoy balanced pvp and honestly every expansion has OP classes.
WoTLK: Mages, Feral Druids.
Cata: Mages Rogues with Legendary Daggers, Mages.
MoP: Warrior, Mages, Hunters, Warlocks, and Mages.
i guess what i'm trying to say is it doesn't matter what expansion you play, because as long as you play a Frost Mage you'll be just fine and have plenty of fun killing other classes.

1. 3.3.5a is regarded as one of best pvp expansions. You die fast if you aren't good, but skilled players can keep going on to draw in 2v2 (45 minutes) and over 10 minutes in 3v3.1. I've read in this(http://www.icy-veins.com/forums/topi...nner-guide-54/) PvP beginners guide that in patch 5.3 PvP Power / Resilience were added to the game in order to make PvP more accessible. I know that the WoTLK has patch 3.3.5, so I am wondering, does that mean PvP Power / Resilience aren't in the game yet, making PvP unplayable, or am I thinking wrong all together?
2. Do you need to grind for 4 months in PvE, to not get 1-shot, but still have crappy armor compared to others?
3. Where at all do you get your gear for PvP, how fun is it and which expansion is the best for PvP?
2. Blackrock is pvp focused server where you do not have to grind gear. I'd recommend you to try different classes there. Wasting months on class you don't like would be waste.
3. Wotlk, gear depends on the realm. On Blackrock it's free, afaik on other realms you have to donate or raid. Might be different on other expansions, didn't play them.
Everything you said about Wotlk was wrong, I guess you ever duelled as some melee class and got manhandled.i guess what i'm trying to say is it doesn't matter what expansion you play, because as long as you play a Frost Mage you'll be just fine and have plenty of fun killing other classes.
