I got 2980 achi points it says yet I'm earning less points then I was before the change? I'm an agent meaning 0.5 points.. explain to me why I'm getting screwed? Is this because I got banned once because someone in my raid group was GCD hacking and they decided to ban our entire raid for it? (to this day still doesn't make sense to me, since I can't possibly know if people are doing this or not).

that's exactly what i'm suggesting. and yes you should be left out if you "don't feel" like meeting their criteria. if you want to be lazy that's fine, but don't complain when that laziness bites you in the ***.

It's not laziness that I'm not wasting my life doing raids/quests/collecting pets in front of a computer, there's fun and challenging aspects of the game that are worth my time and the above mentioned things aren't.

Maybe you should stop trying to drive donors to other private servers before that comes back to bite you as well.

But as you're still enjoying raiding/quests etc I won't judge you, just suggest you be more open minded before you criticize other players' feedback on new systems, because that's what forums are for..

Yeah, maybe rethink this to the severity of the ban? I got banned for 3 days or whatever it was for the actions of someone else, literally the whole server backed our guild and said it was a dumb thing to ban everyone because one person apparently was GCD hacking without any of us being aware of it. Yet now like 9 months or however long ago it was I get punished for it? how exactly is that fair at all? I've donated over 250$ to this server and have never been banned for anything that I personally did wrong.

ps: banning itself is already a punishment I don't see why you need an additional form of apparently irreversible punishment

I don't handle in-game bans in any way, so I won't comment about what happened in your case. It's not for me to do it, especially when all I know is what you're saying, not what the GMs might have seen or received as evidence. But sincerely, I personally think it was about time people had more reason than a short timeout to make them want to avoid being banned.

I wonder how you would feel if you supported the server by donating over 250$, got banned once unfairly by someone elses actions. And then earned only 33% of your normal points till the end of time because of it.

Also, the punishment isn't like you're saying. You just stop getting the base 0.5 point for good standing, but you can still make up for it with extra thousands of achievement points, to the point you're only missing out on 0.2 point.

The logic is simple.

You have to interact with the game to get achievement points.

If we switched to a played time system, you could simply login -> afkbot and increase your rank, no thank you.

You can earn all the way up to 1.2.

Good standing (not banned in the past) yields you with +0.5

You only need 5,000 achievement points from unique achievements across all your characters on all expansions to get +0.7 which means you're earning the highest possible amount of points daily, (12 before squish, 1.2 after).

If you happen to get banned at any point, you instantly forfeit the +0.5, meaning you need 8,000 achievement points to get 1 point per day, you can never reach 1.2 per day.

points > 8000 = +1
points > 7000 = +0.9
points > 6000 = +0.8
points > 5000 = +0.7
points > 4000 = +0.6
points > 3000 = +0.5
points > 2000 = +0.4
points > 1000 or 1000 = +0.3
points < 1000 = 0 total, good standing is not factored in here either, meaning you have to atleast play the game to begin gaining points.


Points are now a valuable entity, activity rank criteria and point increments are subject to change if we decide to include more things to factor into the amount calculation.

I'm missing out on 0.5 points since I'm only at 3k achievement points, this is pmuch the same as you saying I should grind more achi points to make the difference less. doesn't make it less of a punishment considering I have no ambition to grind up to 8k achi points.

This thread isn't about your ban. If you have an issue with it, take it to the GMs. It won't be tolerated further here.
If you don't want to work to get a next tier of point rewards, you will receive what you are eligible for. That's about it.
As Kaer stated on the other thread on this subject, points are a gift we are giving to active and reliable players. No one is forced to work for them, required to get them or inherently deserving of earning them because of donations.

Shut down the blackrock realm then people there are obviously inactive by warmane standards, as for the whole game content part, people had 5-10-15k achievements before molten was wiped or on retail etc and doing achievements over and over again is the definition of wasting time for some people.

You should rethink and even add small aspect from pvp to that system - everyone happy. For many ppl pvp only counts so they are screwed..
You can add some points for 2.2k in 3s and that might reactivate 3s ladder as for now its dead... You can add points for doing rated battleground to make ppl play it. IS it that hard? Points for 3s 2k+ achi same for rated and even 5s to make it active ? ...
