Transfer my 80 level characters to Ragnaros

Hello there, I just came back from a long 1 year break of playing World of Warcraft. I have noticed right away that the server Sargeras has upgraded to Cataclysm but I have many fuly donated 80 level characters, which I would like to transfer to Ragnaros. I checked the account option if this is possible but such option was not available at the moment.

Could anyone help me with further information of how to and when I could transfer my level 80 characters to Ragnaros.

I would like to play on Wotlk rather than Cataclysm, please help me!

"Impossible".

You cannot transfer between cores (e.g Cata to Wotlk or vise versa). Thats what the staff says. Tho they CAN delete the charr on your CATA server and recreate it on WOTLK.

Read it twice: Chances of THAT happening -1million %.

What about the "Restore" option in our accounts ? Would it work if I delete the character with the items and then have it restored but instead of the character being at Sargeras I would restore it for Ragnaros ?

I would like to know more about that too, because I have couple of my Wotlk Characters stuck in the Cataclysm realm and I would like to transfer them back in the Lich King realms...

Wont work as well, because the "deleted" caracter will only be in "restore" options under Sargeras server.

no way to transfer from cata to wotlik you gotto start a new toon man

You already missed the window at which the transfers were possible so at this point due to technical limitations it is no longer possible to transfer your toon to a different expansion. They had been generous with the allowance of time during the upgrades so its not as if this was a sudden turn of events that didn't give players time to prepare. With regard to any form of compensation they had refunded a % of your total coins to your account, assuming you fit the criteria, which is as far as they'll go.

I see, I guess then my lvl80 characters are of no use to me unless I want to play them in the Cataclysm realms... and now I have to make new characters sadly :(

He did say, he didn't play for 1 year but didn't expect that :)

Being absent doesn't really exclude you from major updates like these so its not exactly going to change anything, besides with precedent set based on other similar cases they're not going to be reneging their decision since that would be unfair to the other players.

Well if u ask me that is not correct he paid tons of real money for that gear that is full trash on cata even blue gear is better that the bis gear from wotlk they should reconsider something about that after all donators is what is keeping this server alive they should atleast restore a large % of his coins so he can create a new char on wotlk. Its suck for u to have spend over 50$ for a gear that is worst from green item drops from global monsters

all of his/her donation gear is still there, he/she didn't lose anything. their was also a transfer period of around 3 months in which the transfer could have been done, it's not molten's fault he/she missed it, nor will they compensate for it in any way.
