Hello guys, I am playing a Balance druid, but I see shamans blow me up on my Boomkin, I dont know how to play FERAL and when I played Resto i was ****.
When i played my RESTO SHAMAN, i was ****ing godlike but then I played Boomkins a bit
Can you guys compare SHAMANS to DRUIDS
I hate that druids dont have any interrupt like shamans have Wind Shear every few seconds.
They cant dispel anything, SHAMANS have PURGE.
For the reducation of damage they only have Barskin and BearForm that has healing and armor.
SHAMANS HAVE TOTEMS, that are freaking badass such as Grounding, Stoneclaw.
I want you guys to compare, FERAL vs ENCHANCE ( cause i would like to try Enchance out, i want to know if they are any good in PvE aswell) I manly want to know about PvP.
Compare : ELE vs BOOMKINS
Compare : RESTO SHAMANS VS RESTO DRUIDS PROS AND CONS AND **** you know what I am talking about.
Compare : Can you compare the Races for horde and ally for shamans in general, whats best for PvP and PvE would be helpful aswell.
And yes, I have already played with shamans so, im not a "newbie" i just can't decide.
I really like shamans and druids, so guys tell me what to play. I want to be good at PvP and PvE
Please help me, I would like to hear your opinion on everything, If i have missed out on anything just tell me, you can also PM me :)
allright
shaman ele vs boomy both are good pve wise do good damage the play style is similar.
pvp, ele has ulity, but druids have shapeshift (o god i hate that thing) so you can escape any roots/snares.imo druid balance for pvp is just burst and run.id preffer ele tho
enhanc vs feral, again both good dps, enhanc beats ele for 1-2k dps in pve, dunno for feral but i heard its harder to play then enhanc.
pvp, a good feral druid will beat a enhancement shaman at the same gear and skill level imo, but with right combos enhancement is quite strong.
for resto, well you cant go wrong in pve, but i myself find that resto shammy brings more hps then a druid.
pvp, id play a druid imo, you can shapeshift ,run , immune to poly gg.
for resto, well you cant go wrong in pve, but i myself find that resto shammy brings more hps then a druid.
Are you on crack? LOL if we are talking HPS spamming druids win everyday.
BTW druids can dispel curses and poisons. So don't say they cant remove anything.
If we are talking pvp go with a resto shaman to many utilities and other things that you can bring to your comp. PvE? they are both still good but i prefer my druid just for the fact that i have mobility.
feral vs enh? (dont know pvp wise) pve feral ofc. enh is trash dps.
boom vs ele? PVP wise i give the edge to shamans just bc they bring more buffs although i think the druid has a lot more cc power. PvE wise? if your wanting to be higher on a meter boomkin is prolly your better choice but ele has its options too with wrath totem u bring another great buff.
Believe me pls, they are both near at the same performance level, exception are healers.
PVP area:
In general, balance dudu can burst even harder than ele shamans, but for short duration (like enh melee shamans). Compared to them ele shamans can keep highest bursting level for a very lon time interval. Both are superb in any arena and BG area, because can pull top 3 DPS in any random and haotic fights (compared to them mages suffers from DoT mechanics = on every new target they should reapply their debuffs). The main task for an ele shaman to survive first 20-30 sec while dueling against boomkins. Their talents tree are very similar, but ele shamans are focused on incrased damage and crit chance in contrast balance dudu's talents tree are focused to increase spell power and critical damage (Eclipse is the key).
To play effectively an ele shaman in PVP mode is harder, than any other described characters here. To face Unholy DK, Affliction/Destro Locks, Frost Mages, Assasination Rogues and MM Hunters you need over 1 year of play experience.
The ferals and enh shamans have many similar things also. Very interesting thing: ferals have the same dmg reduction talent like ele shaman's Shapeshifting. Both are very hard to play well in PVP and PVE areas, this is why these classes are not so popular currently. The enh shamans combat mechanics is unique, based on elemental damage mostly, controlling their stacks. Compared to them ferals combat mechanics is mixed: from warriors and rogues. Ferals should controll their bleeding timers mostly. Enh samans suffer from mana drain and their DPS, like balance caster, is even better for short time interval. The ferals can fight for a veeery long time, due to their Inervate and powerful healing spells (Shapeshifting is a key here).
PVE area:
Both ranged and melee can show near the same DPS. But if you play ideally, then ferals can show the highest DPS among them, but at static bosses mostly. Balance dudu can show better in fully buffed 25 man raids. The ele shamans are the best among them, and are in top 5, at bosses, which requires haotic fights like: Lady Deathwhisper, Gunship, Putricide, BPQ, Valithria and LK. In 10 man raids and low buffed raids the ele shamans also can show top 3 position DPS.
About healers
I have good experience on shamans (over 1 year). Began to level a dudu also, like a month ago. In general, dudu healers can pull more HPS in PVE and have highest survivability in PVP (dueling and BG). The resto shamans have lowest HPS in PVE (their role there is very specific), but can pull very powerful healing spells in PVP area (probably they are the best healers in 3v3 arena mode).
PVE: Resto shammy vs resto dudu -> both
PVP: Resto shammy vs resto dudu -> both
PVE:Ele shammy vs Boomkin->Boomkin
PVP:Ele shammy vs Boomkin->Ele shammy
PVE:Enhancement shaman vs feral dudu->Feral dudu
PVP:Enchancement shaman vs feral dudu-> Feral dudu
