Enhance shammy DPS in PVE

Hi guys, as the title said, is the shaman DPS really good in PVE bossing? Today I just party with a enhance shammy and he seems to be topping the DPS chart with around 29k to 30k. Is that normal DPS or it is just bug? Thanks!

Depending on his gear and what fight it was, it doesn't seem too abnormal to me. I can't raid properly these days, but in 5-mans I can normally go well over 20K DPS on bosses that don't have significant down time. I also don't have a single piece of raid gear on me, and hell, even Zul'Aman has a couple upgrades for me yet. If this was in a raid, I don't think they would need gear any higher than mine to get those numbers, depending on which boss(es) you're referring to. Enhancement DPS is right around where it should be, and there's even a couple bugs that are slightly lowering it yet.

So, yes, Enhancement does have really solid DPS right now, but at the same time they really shouldn't be "topping" charts by any significant amount unless they are outgearing everyone. I am normally the top DPS in my groups by far as Enhancement, but these are 5-man PuGs, not organized raids where everyone should be playing at a higher level. It's possible that other specs just have more DPS reducing bugs than Enhancement does so we momentarily have an advantage, but there is that rare, beautiful occasion where somebody in one of my PuGs can do competitive DPS or even out DPS me a little, and since this has happened with several classes, I have to assume that most people are just being lazy.

So, in regards to your group earlier, chances are the Shaman was either geared well beyond everybody else (unlikely), or they were playing the spec properly and a lot of the other DPS were slacking off a bit. Of course Enhancement does naturally out DPS quite a few specs too, but judging by your post it sounds like nobody was even close to catching up, which shouldn't be the case.
