...being an elemental shaman. Not only we are bugged as ****, but also people loot-ban us from our intended gear because ''it has spirit'', ignoring tha fact that Elemental uses Spirit as hit rating. Yeah, of course, Spirit is OS for Elemental, even our T13 parts that have spirit, apparently. Had people ninjaing the Beth caster shield from me for no reason other that ''it has spirit you are dps''.

Well, excuse me if Blizz decided that Spirit gear is no only for heals now. Heals can go cry in a corner for all I care.

It doesnt happen as much because Boomkins and Elementals are both extremely unpopular compared to other specs/classes like mages who with Time Warp can easily take over the role that Elementals have in raids while having 100% more single target damage.

Spriest get to double dip because they can use both cloth heal gear and cloth caster gear so they do not have as much of a problem.

But Elementals and Boomkins are screwed here because there is only 1 set of loot for both the caster and heal speccs. Elemental and Resto share the same shield drop in DS, for example. People will still priorize heal because ''its OS''.

Yeah, partly my fault for going to pugs, but also I try to explain and people go full ***** and after my explication they say ''MS->OS'' or kick me.

Elemental isn't as bugged as people suggests and it scales with gear all too well. If you don't have good gear ofc you'll do **** dmg, only big bugs are Fire Elemental and Fulminate damage.
My Ele sham (My shaman's third offspec Resto > Enhance > Elemental) was pulling over 40k DPS on DS (Not stupid bosses like, Zon'ozz, I mean normal bosses like Morchok/Ultraxion) which just proves it's a viable spec. Sure I got 397 elemental with Cunning and Staff from Madness, and if I go enhancement with Nokaled I prolly do 10k more DPS but still 40k is nothing to laugh about. Just make raids with your guild to prevent getting gear stolen from you -> profit.

^what fernlox said :| im on 390 ilvl and doing anywhere from 25k to 35k depending on the encounter( not zonoz) and well ._. i would take an elemental over an enhancement shaman if he could deliver over 30k dps anytiem :| thundershock on demand aoe burst and root from earthbind(if u spec ) is just too valuable ~_~ especialy on warmaster :3
