How long does a faction change take?

I have been waiting to log on after a faction change but I keep ether getting "log on server disconnected" or "unable to connect" (if this problem keeps happening ..blah blah.

I am wondering if it is the same as retail where I have to wait like hours or if something else is wrong.

logon is down for every1, its not cuz u faction changed :p

Faction change is insta after u use it on site, so dw once server is back ur gonna be able to change ur faction.
