Who we are
<Qilin> is a new PvE guild that is North American based, Alliance on Ragnaros
<Qilin> is not going anywhere - we survived the Molten Armageddon of 2015 nearly unscathed although some members are starting over from scratch; very few have moved on
Sindragosa 25hc - Post Reset
Our Raids
Prior to the 2015 apocalypse, we did ICC 25HC at least four times a week, Ruby Sanctum 25 normal two or three times, ICC 25N once or twice
With the second reset our goal and focus is on gearing our core and progressing to LoD progression - that is our main focus
Main ICC 25 HC to LoD (We do our LoD attempts on this Raid id#)
AltICC 25 HC : Gets to LoD (usually) but sometimes stops at Sindragosa
2nd Alt ICC25HC : Gets to BQL
3nd Alt ICC25HC : Gets to BQL
4nd Alt ICC25HC : Gets to BQL
ICC10HC: We have cleared it fully and we still do bane run to test trials and get loot
Our Raid Schedule
<Qilin> raids always start at 24st
Thursday: 25n ICC & RS 25n (multiple raids)
Friday: Main Raider Core Run ICC 25hc, RS 25hc
Saturday: Main Raider Core Run ICC 25hc LoD attempts
Sunday: Alt runs as announced on GMOTD
Monday: Alt runs as announced on GMOTD
Tuesday: Alt runs as announced on GMOTD
Wednesday: Fun runs as announced on GMOTD, or PUG remaining lockouts
Attendance
All members are expected to be available for our Main Run with 100% attendance, even if there is zero chance of the person getting an invite
We have a THREE STRIKE rule for our core raid -- if you miss THREE runs within 30days, your spot goes up for grabs and you risk being purged from the guild if this number drops too much
Alt runs are optional but if you miss too many of them it doesn't look good
We still expect all members to be able to attend raids as often as possible
If you cannot commit to this do not apply
We require all our members to let us know in advance if they cannot attend a core raid when their name is on the core roster, failure to do so can result in removal
Our Ideal Applicant
We always accept exceptional applicants for a trial period
We at <Qilin> are only looking for long term members
We require players to never afk for long periods or quit
The last thing we want is a raid logger
If you can't log TS do not apply; http://www.teamspeak.com/ -- Push to talk or zero background noise is required
Skill in endgame content remains unchanged among our core, regardless of gearscore - we would rather have a proven 5.5k gs Qilin raider than a 6k gs pug or trial
Everyone that joins Qilin will become an active raider in one of our many heroic raid groups
Casuals lose their raid spot and enjoy demotions
Trials are expected to be self-sufficient
We will help every applicant to reach their true potential, until we can no longer help
Applicants will earn their raid spots through determination and communication
Understand that during progression we will do whatever is necessary within Molten rules in order to make the encounter we're learning as easy as possible; if you cannot handle being sat out for a fight do not waste our time
You must have a working mic and if you do not, you must purchase one within the first week of your trial and you must connect to TS for a conversation with our core
Some of our people speak Spanish and many other languages, but we require English to be used during encounters and in gchat
You really must demonstrate that you are capable of communicating verbally in English on TS; those who cannot are sometimes sat in favor of those who can - it's not personal
We take raiding seriously despite how easy the encounter is
Competitive Nature
Our ideal applicant has to be very competitive player as a whole, when you get beat you have to look for ways to improve
You have to be intelligent; every member of <Qilin> min/maxes their gear to the best possible and if you currently do not do whatever it takes it will not take long before the officers and raid leaders realize you are not the type of player we are looking for
Like most top guilds, we field additional raids consisting of alts
Our alt raids are no different from our main raid, and while the DPS is a little lower sometimes because of the gear differences, when it comes to performance and the ability to defeat encounters - it's no different than in our main raid
About <Qilin>
Maintaining a solid team atmosphere is very crucial to us, we like to socialize during raids and off raids
<Qilin> members all know one another, we do not consist of a bunch of cliques, instead the entire guild is a whole - no one is left out
If you are usually the class clown, your numbers and performance had better not be poor and you had better have some comedic timing
Regardless of our close-knit atmosphere we have no problem welcoming newer members to our guild and making them feel like they are part of the team
Our guild takes raiding very seriously, we do not like wiping on anything
We use consumables for any and all raids we go to, we expect all applicants to be this prepared as well
Application Process
Our Raider application process normally lasts about four weeks, however, it can be extended under certain circumstances
We will always give new apps one of the hardest jobs in the raid to test them
Note that our application process is very harsh, only the best of the best will make it to Raider status in <Qilin>
We do not promote or keep average players, we need players that are completely confident in their abilities to play their class to the fullest; you can however invite your friends as social players once you are proven (so not all Qilin members are raiders)
Mistakes are not forgotten and wiping the raid is very unforgiving, you will most likely be removed if this were to happen
If you know (not think) you have what it takes to compete with some of the best players in world, then you'll do fine in our guild
Expectations
We expect all applicants to be able to maintain 100% core attendance during their trial period; this means being online for the duration of our core raid even if there is zero chance you will get a spot
We expect all members to maintain 90% attendance life time for core raids, even if they will not receive a spot
As a guild, <Qilin> strives to be the best
We expect our raiders to know as much about a fight before even stepping into the instance
What will you get by joining <Qilin>
Leadership
<Qilin> is run by a core of Officers
We are a policy-driven guild, so as long as you are aware of our policies, nothing will surprise you
Every officer does their part to help and run the guild
Know that we are all fair and understanding people, we know how to treat our guild members
We are currently working hard to get VDW hc down. We already have 3 holy paladins to take the portals, but all it left is to attempt.
Bump for awesome thread. :D:D:D
