1. Shamans in MoP

    Just wanted to ask if someone could tell the state of Shaman in MoP?

    Are they good healers,dpsers compared to other classes?

    For maximum dps ele or enh?

    it depends if noone is interupting you and stuff ele shaman can do a lot more dmg then enh but the problem is if you are for example in rated vs skilled group they will sit you like destro lock so you can barely cast :P

    You dont cast in bgs as ele. Atleast you don't get to. You flame shock everything that moves, purge everything that moves. When instant LvB start coming like crazy, that's the dmg from ele .

  5. Ok here is my input about all 3 specs since i played them all here as well as on retail :

    As healers they are definitely amazing.Most stuff there is functional since mana regeneration issues have been fixed.I am only not sure if manatide totem regen has been fixed during combat.And i would definitely say that resto shaman is if not THE best then most certainly one of the best choices for any raid / rated bg comp in MoP and you can never go wrong going resto.

    Enhancement has one of the scariest bursts ever seen in MoP.But with that being said it is also very burst revolving.Once you are done with your burst you are pretty much sit and do mediocre damage type of guy.I say pretty much because they are still decent even tho they lack much utility compared to their elemental brothers.

    And finally elemental shaman.On molten it works fully i believe with some minor stuff not going for them at the moment ( check bug tracker ).They offer much more utility and while they pack less of a punch with ascendance than enh they most definitely don't fall behind much in damage compared to them.Much more in utility as in 1) they are range and that is a big plus in pvp,they offer displacement with thunderstorm ( 30 sec cd with glyph ) I don't have to even mention how amazing it is to throw people off LM in AB or EoTS flag knock downs as well as various other terrain advantages with it.

    You wont make a mistake if you chose ANY of the specs they are a great built class overall and very fun and rewarding to play on high skill levels.So chose the one you find most fun for you don't let others influence your choice that much.

    Sure enh has bigger numbers but most people make a mistake about that because enh is burst revolved MUCH more than elemental ( mainly ascendance revolved ).

    As elemental you are better at controlling situations.I can't stress enough the value of thunderstorm in pvp because it is an interrupt vs casters as well through displacement.And also with having 3-4 flameshocked targets means pretty much a LOT of free instant lava bursts with potential to punch someone into oblivion in some cases ( even healers if you time windsheers / hex / purge well ) so your burst is never an issue and you are a CONSTANT threat to the enemy even without ascendance.These are all reasons elemental was considered more viable over enh for rated bgs and arenas even.

  7. i make elle shams reroll.. ^^.. but atm enh has some bad buggs. stormlash doing 200 flatdamage and breaking your auto cambat.. and flametongue damage is sooo low... and more stranger is that it procs more often then your other auto attacks.. like uuuh.. this would be kinda cool if damage was not that low.....

Moaraxes I agree with you on almost everything outside enh having only medium dmg without ascendence even without it you can easily crit 100-150K crits with EB & 100K with stacked lava lash and if you keep your rotations up you got like 2s of not using abilites in it which give you nice time for purges/totems imho :P

  9. hmm interasting opinions ....ama make it simple
    first of all shamans work good here atm, some minor bugs mostly for enhancement (stormlash,wolfs)
    resto is most needed allways
    enhance/ ele... dmg wise both good, imo enhance more fun but harder 2 master if goin for high rating. totaly up to u and ur preffered stile of play

    You're right :D enhc too low survive to be viable in high rate. You will be always the focus and ez to go down in one cc.

    Ele are good and it's fun to learn, if you get the mechanic with purge you will be always stronger. Most important is you a part of one of the strongest comp in 5.4 (LSD) and will be almost needed.

    For rsham it's like the 4.3 patch for us. Good survavibility, many panic buttons, low assist dps but good abilities to get the kill (freedom totem, conductor, hex, root [...]), the rsham has greatly increased in cc since cata.

  12. shamans stil have few realy big bugs that arent taking care of since they arent as popular as ....lets say war, hunter,dk. so while other classes are geting fixed or OP by bad fixes shamans are pretty much the same as when the MoP got released here only minor fixes.
    Enhance spirit wofls still do way 2 low dmg= way 2 low heal u get from them also atacking random targets
    Elementals also doin low dmg and atacking random targets sometimes not atacking anything
    Stormlash totem does horribly low bonus dmg
    Healing Tide totem healing way 2 low
    Ancestral Guidance not working corectly since it avoids 2 heal a shaman even if u are low hp = healing only party members sometimes unless ur in 1v1 and even then not healing enough

    i remember 2v2 arenas on retail MoP GV/PF season my enhance was almost allways doin more healing then dmg in arena fights and u do know a dmgis awesome , so thers a clear picture how much healing suport is buged and missing here atm for enhance.
    some of theese things are also a nerf 2 elementals such as bad Healing tide totem /stormlash and also elementals which are almost useless here atm
    but hey maybe 1 day some Dev will roll a shamy and this may get fixed sooner :) from what i see priority here on molten/warmane have allways been some other classes :)
