1. Enhance vs rogues

How the hell do you fight rogues as enhancement?

I use magma totem if i know they are around. I don't waste trinket at once or on sap. I pop shamanistic rage when they keep me stunned.
But still i am on low health before i can even do anything. And when i can finally move they pop evasion and dodge almost every attack so i never get malestrom weapon to stack full. and there is no idea to heal with casting time. That will be interupted.

There is not much use of popping cd's like wolfes or bloodlust. they just vannish and wait it out. so 9 out of 10 times its a waste of those Cd's
Even if i have flameshock on them they use cloak of shadows (i think, the one that takes away all magic) and then vannish.

Stoneskin totem does almost nothing. 4k armour and as they can bypas so much of the armor its almost zero.

Any tip at all? DO i do somethign terribly wrong or are they this hard for enhance shamans?

    I have 153k hp and 4k ressi

  2. rogues counter enhances that's why lol. u cant win unless he plays really bad.

  3. rogues counter enhances that's why lol. u cant win unless he plays really bad.
That was my tought. as it feels like whatever i do he can counter it. while i don't have many ways to counter the things he does.

But i wanted to ask in case i had missed out something or did anything terrible wrong

And it seems they are very dependant on their Cd's. If i manage to engage him into a fight where he has cd's so he cant vanish or use cloak of shadows and things like that, they don't have too much to come with other than use sprint and try to flee. If they dont manage to get away in that situation i usaly kill them
while if they don't have thier abilities on Cd i am pretty much screwed unless he ****s up badly or if i outgear him a lot

  4. Rogues are pretty strong this patch, but they are not impossible to kill.
I'm a rogue myself and no matter what class I play, I know their tricks and what they can do, but of course...You can't win EVERY PvP session.

If the rogue uses daggers, then the rogue will be using Backstab, which has a positional requirement, and even without Backstab, a rogue will open up behind you a majority of the time.

I won't explain EVERY situation and all of it's possibilities on what the rogue will do and what you should do, but I will explain some. You don't have to follow all of these, but work however you see fit.

-Set a Magma Totem behind you, as well as an Earthbind totem close to your body. That way, the rogue will be slowed and the only way they will be able to get close without being slowed is if they use Cloak of Shadows or Shadowstep, and those are two valuable cooldowns.

(It may not work 100% of the time depending on the rogue, but it can catch them out of stealth, and they will most likely vanish if they are caught out, wasting one of their prime abilities)

-If the rogue is caught out, throw Flameshock on them immediately, if they Vanish and Cloak, just repeat the process.

-If the rogue manages to open on you or the fight has progressed a bit, save Shamanistic Rage for when they are Shadow Dancing, as that is the highest damage output they can throw out, but use Shamanistic Rage whenever you see fit not just when they Shadow Dance.

-If you are having difficulties in the duel, use Earthbind totem over Strength of the Earth Totem, so they are not able to run around freely with no slows (Besides Frost Shock) and you will be able to keep up with them.

-Believe it or not, Back paddling is EXTREMELY effective against Backstab rogues since it has a positional requirement. Keep Frost shock / Earthbind Totem up whilst attacking and they will be forced to spam Hemorrhage which has a lower damage output and can be healed through.

Yes Back Paddling may seem something a ''noob'' would do, but even on my DK which was mainly vicious geared, I could handle a rogue much more geared than me by back paddling because they could not get behind me because they were slowed and could only get behind me if I they vanished, stunned, or gouged me.

-Use your Maelstrom procs for healing instead of damage. Maelstrom comes up pretty fast and a 15-20k heal every few seconds teamed up with your Healing Stream totem negates a bit of the damage they do. You can switch to using Maelstrom procs for DPS if they aren't giving any issues, or whenever you see fit.

-Rogues are so easily kiteable, even another Rogue could kite a rogue. If you are on low health or under pressure, lay down an Earthbind Totem and Ghostwolf away, if you have the talent ''Frozen power'' get a few yards away and use Frostshock, that way they are rooted for 6 seconds and you can use that time frame to heal up.
(The rogue can still Cloak or trinket out of the root or Shadowstep to you if you don't make enough distance in time though)

-If the rogue has evasion up after an opener, lay down an Earthbind Totem and just kite and run away. (or however you see fit)

-If you use your trinket after you are let's say, Kidney Shotted (stunned), the rogue will have a high chance of using Blind right after which will give them a re-stealth. If you have Ghostwolves (feral spirit) out, they will not be able to re-stealth easily without using vanish, but they still can if they run away quickly enough.
If you trinket out put down a Magma totem or Feral Spirit out if possible since they will most likely Blind you right after you trinket out.

-Hex them while they are bursting (Preferably with Maelstrom procs if it is up) or just kite with your totems and Frost shock if you are on extremely low health. You don't have to follow that 100%, use hex how you see fit or if you think it is necessary.

-If they do vanish while you a bursting or if you use a certain cooldown, you can heal yourself up in the meantime since you have a spammable heal and they don't. The thing about rogues here, is that once their Cooldowns are ticking, they won't be able to use their utility to it's full potential.

Everything is situational, whether it be a duel, arenas, battlegrounds, world PvP or whatever have you, so you will have to use and do what you can in the most beneficial way and these are just a few things that you can do that may or may not help you out.

It depends on the rogue and how skilled and geared they are, but the same thing applies to you as well.
