[Q&A] WotLK Parry update, anyone tested it yet? & Hit table priorities.
From the changelog for 19th June for 3.3.5a realms
~~~~~~~~~
"GENERAL
Parry chance now works properly for all creatures and has had its calculations adjusted"
~~~~~~~~~
I haven't had the time to log ingame and check for myself, but has anyone seen the effect of this update?
My questions:
Do all mobs now parry melee attacks, or just raid bosses?
If yes, do mobs only parry melee attacks from in FRONT of them, as should be the case on retail WoW?
If yes, does this mean that tanks now benefit from expertise until the expertise hard cap of 56 to overcome parry on raid bosses, as should be the case on Retail WoW?
And lastly, for very technically-knowledgeable persons, it seems they've updated the melee hit cap to correctly cap at 8%.
Also from the changelog for 19th June for 3.3.5a realms
~~~~~~~~~
"CLASSES
Melee hit rating has been corrected and is now capped at 8%"
Has anyone seen the effect this has had on the "Hit table" priorities, by which i mean how the game calculates it's priorities for hit/miss/crit/glancing/dodge/parry, and how on retail stacking a higher priority outcome could push a lower priority outcome "off the table".
