[MOP] Is there a way to patch from Cata to MoP?

Hey guys,

since I only have a DSL2000 connection and downloading the 24GB MoP-Client would take ages, I want to know if there is a possibility to upgrade my old Cataclysm Client to MoP to reuse some data and maybe not download the whole 24GB.

I already searched for it in the forums but unfortunatly I couldnt find any guides for that.

This is not possible. You will need to redownload the client.

So I did a bit more of googling and I found: http://wow.4fansites.de/downloadspatches.php .
Since i have a 4.3.4 Cataclysm Client I think the WoW Fullpatch 5.0.1 and WoW Fullpatch 5.4.2 should do the work with only 9GB.

Or am I missing a point here why it wont work?
