There is no one "best" way of farming Gold in World of Warcraft in general. There are many different guides out there that tells you that "this is the best method" but they are in a realm-to-realm basis. But scattered across the many servers and realms of World of Warcraft, the most effective but tedious way of getting gold is by Buying and Selling on the Auction House.

Look up guides on how to play the Auction House, and you'll definitely earn tons of gold.

Otherwise, Professions are really the best way to go.
