I'm having a really bad time with Warmane community.
I'm a level 80 warrior with 4605 GS, and I don't know... many (not all) people in this server seems to be so rude and jerks.
I'm trying to progress, but alone is tough, and I don't know much about WoW itself. I started playing WoW through private servers, and this one is my second one.
Everytime I ask for advice, many just doesn't respond and leave me talking to myself. Others just say they won't help and thats it.
I'm trying to figure out to do the Shadow Edge quest, but i don't know how to get it started. I read about this quest and it seems to be a Raid quest, but I don't have guild or friends to help me, i'm completly alone!
Asking for people to help me is useless since they won't. Today i think 5 people helped me when I asked them things, but out of dunno? 100 people since I started playing in this server, maybe 10? helped me :(
What's up with this community? does it reflect from WoW blizz community? or is it just Molten' players that act like that?
Also, where can I look for help with Shadow Edge quest? I want it so bad for my warrior... Any of you guys would give me a hand? my nick in game is Urok, and I play on Ragnaros and my alliance is Horde
Where are you asking this global?....I can tell you stright up if so you willl always get either trolls or a decent response.....or the random serb who dont speak english
The WoW community as a whole is not like that, But i have notice loads of trolls mainly on private servers (welcome to free games)..I play proudmoore NA on retail and its hands down most mature community
About your question ...not sure i know much about that quest
It's a free game, so...
About Shadow's Edge - you take it in first hall of IceCrown Citadel, primordials drop from bosses in 10hc/25n/25hc, Light's Vengeance is in NE Dragonblight in a cave, Rotface's and Fester's blood drop from these bosses in 25n/25hc and are usually rolled for.
well o.o Yeh through whisper wouldn't be my ideal choice of asking for help. I mean think about it, a player is going about their day, minding their own business and then a total stranger pops up asking said player to pause what they are doing and answer questions having nothing to do with him/herself. I would say a 10% response rate is pretty great. I mean I think the problem here is you expecting more ppl to go out of their way to help you. Here are some of my personal suggestions:
1. Try global/general/trade chat, I do it all of the time. If a player happens to be free, bored and willing to help, they will answer (most likely to happen more often than not)
2. Googling for solutions. Specially since it's quest related, a simple search would yield many results. Remember to check comments and such of said results.
3. Lowering your expectations, and don't take it so personally. Some people do not answer because: 1, they are afk; 2, they are busy with something; 3, they don't understand english; 4, they dont know the answer; 5, they just dont like talking to random strangers; etc. So you know, just keep trying and lowering your expectations would leave you with much more satisfying results.

both blood is not for roll. you need to loot it before those have the quest (warrior, pala, dk) loot it regardless of loot type which basically means you need to stay alive and loot it as soon as both bosses dead. Regarding your opinion towards the community, i would say yes. Most of them are jerk and rarely few good ones during pug.
For guild, I don't really have time for that (personal issues and time zone differences). So my experience as a newbie in this server (new to wow too) give me a lot of bitter experience since i need to do a lot of pug and pug is usually where those jerks are. But spr 1416 gave good advice for you so you should remember them especially the last suggestion.
So basically. Try and find a guild if you can(alive of course and match your time zone), read all those class guide and try different class and professions (to keep you fresh and prevent you from spending hefty gold to buy other profession services thus maintaining a self demand and supply cycle), use google to help you check for quest and possible bugs that appear (that's what a lot of players are not doing and ask in global).
Oh. in terms of gearing. This is how I do it as a pugger:
1) Do all those frozen hall instance hc (fos pos hor) daily to get gear but more importantly is to get eot. (Most of the time I've seen people reject plate classes except tank when they recruit in global).
2) Don't forget rdf hc. it give you two precious emblem of frost aka eof per day. You probably won't get invite in global since a lot of genius and impatient dude here need you to be 5K (actually 5.5 will get you invited if you're dps). So just que and hope that there are tank and healer que for it. But the best way is to tank yourself.
3) By the time you purchase gear using emblem of triumph aka eot (t9 gear set of non-set pieces) and purchase the rest (mainly weapon and trinket) through points, you'll be probably 5.1. then puchase the cloak using 50 eof and you're now 5.2.
4) Now, the raid. you'll need to join as pugger so understand what range of gs is important too. 4.5 to 5 is maily trial of crusader 10 (toc 10) but a lot of peeps ask for 5k+. Toc is a great part of earning eot too. When you're 5+ or like I suggested above, 5.2 is your limit and you need to progress to toc 25. you too need to try your luck since many guys ask for 5.4+ for this and require you to have toc 10/25 achievement. Try to win trophy there but most of the time, you probably lose the roll. If you're luckier, you may encounter some guys organize icc 10 alt run which ask for 5k+. Try it but remember to read warmane toc and icc bosses guide (a lot of bugs). Around 5.5 you can try for icc 25 and that's pretty much the most difficult raid you can go.
5) Once you're 5+, don't forget to do Voa 10 and 25 to try your luck to win a hand or leggings there (25man drops the middle tier of t10 aka sanctify version). Usually we use 4 pieces of t10 which consist of head, shoulder, chest, and either one of hand of legging. For dps warrior, you need to get the legging.
6) The easiest way is to donate of course or you grind eof a a lot (rdf hc per day and weekly raid quest).
Im curious why newcomers tend to ask everyone for help.
When I started with WoW I learned everything on my own and if there was something that I dont understand then I made a research on google.
