Pandaria [Guide] A Complete Guide on Hunter Macros

Today i write this guide to share with the Warmane Community some of my Macros that i made myself and tested properly and that i personally use on my hunter.

These macros are aimed for every player of any degree of experience and knowledge of this game.

I have divided this guide to 4 Sections: General Macros, Pet Related macros, Macros for Traps and some Misc/fun macros.

On to the macros :D

I'll start with Shots Macros (Tranquilizing, Silencing..etc)



1. Wyvern Sting:

This macro will cast Wyvern Sting on your focus if it exists, on your target if you don't have a focus. if you do have a focus however, pressing Shift will cast Wyvern Sting on your target.

2. Silencing/Counter Shot:

This Macro will cast Silencing Shot(if you're MM)/Counter Shot(if you're Bm or Survival) on Target. On your focus when holding Alt, on Arena1/2/3 when holding Shift.

3. Tranquilizing Shot:

This Macro will cast Tranquilizing Shot on your target by default, will cast Tranquilizing Shot on your Focus when holding Shift, and cast Mend Pet when holding Alt.

4. Widow Venom:

This Macro will cast Widow Venom on your Target by default. Cast Widow Venom on your Focus when holding Shift.

5. Kill Shot

This Macro is really simple, it will stop casting if you're casting Steadyshot/Dismiss pet for example, cancel Deterrence/Hand of Protection, cast Kill Shot on your Target, i also added “/focus arena1” i use it to set my focus in arenas you can change to arena 2/3.

6. Scatter Shot:

This macro is just for Focus Scatter with a pet Control command in there to prevent your pet from breaking Scatter, usually your pet automatically stop when you cast scatter/trap but sometimes they don't.

7. Concussive Shot:

This macro is to cast Concussive Shot on your focus. That's it :D.

Now that we're done with Shots (jokes aside) let's see some other macros:



1. Feign Death:

What this macro basically do is ensure that you Feign Death almost immediately and that is Essential if you want to Successfully prevent spells to be cast on you.

2. Camouflage:

this macro will Cancel Camouflage if you already are using it, Otherwise it will just cast it.

3. Disengage:

HOLYMOLY this macro is big, no worries though i'll break it down: when used; this macro will Stop Casting and use Disengage, if you hold Alt it will use a Healthstone if you have it and use Exhilaration Talent if you have it as well.

4. Deterrence:

This is the famous detter/dismiss pet macro nothing odd here, it will cancel Hand of Protection, cast deterrence and dismiss your active pet at the same.

5. Stance Dance:

This is a very simple Stance Changing macro to quickly swap between AoTH and AoTC in a press of a button.

6. Burst Macro (swofty oneshot macro):

Click once and it will use your trinket (Grievous one for me, replace with the one you have), click it twice and it will cast Rapid Fire.

This macro will cast your summoned pet's ability (make sure to put in all your pets) on your target if not using any modifier, and cast your pet's ability on your focus when holding Shift.

● Here's an Example of this macro with only one pet:

This macro is easy, i personally bound it to the Mouse Middle Button (b3), Using this Macro without a modifier will command your pet to attack your target, clicking it again will Call back your pet.

- Using this macro when holding Shift will use your pet's Trinket (Bullheaded, for Cunning Spec)

- Using this macro when holding Alt will use your pet's Dash ability

- Using this macro when holding Ctrl will use your pet's Cower ability

3. Master's Call macro:

This macro will cast Master's Call on your Mouseover if it exists, if it doesn't it will be cast it on your target, if you don't have a target it will be cast it on yourself

4. Roar of Sacrifice: (For Cunning Spec Only)

This will Cast your pet's ability Roar of Sacrifice on yourself.

5. All-in-One pet Summon/revive/dismiss Macro:

This Macro will summon Pet1 if you don't have one summoned already, if you do however have a pet already it will simply Dismiss it, if your current pet is dead it will cast Revive Pet.

7. Mouseover RoS+Scare Beast Macro:

This will cast either Roar of Sacrifice or Scare Beast depending on your target. If it's friendly it will cast Roar of Sacrifice, if it's an Enemy that can be Feared (beasts!) it will Cast Scare Beast on them, the tool-tip changes according to the target as well.

Traps don't require many Macros that's why i only have two:



1. Freezing Trap Macro:

The thing with this macro is that it will ensure that you always have Trap Launcher Up and will put your pet on passive for more safety.

Pretty Standard modifier-based macro for all the traps, the feature of this macro is that it will put your trap on the ground not launch it (Trap launcher deactivated), make sure to click it a second time to re-activate Trap Launcher.

Some Miscellaneous Macros yet very useful:



1. Toggle Character Panel out combat/ Use an Ability in-combat:

Just Replace Your_Spell_Name by the Spell you want to use In-Combat only such as Rapid fire or whatever you'd like, and it will toggle your Character Panel if you're out of Combat (rarely in warmane).

2. Human Tracking:

Instead of enabling the humanoid tracker manually, you can use this macro.

First click will set your Humanoid Track on, the second one will turn it off.

3.All-in-One Misdirection Macro:

If your have a focus, and it's friendly unit, Misdirection will be cast on it.

If you don't have a focus target, Misdirection will be cast target if it's a friendly unit.

If both your target and focus target are not friendly units, misdirection will be cast on your pet.

● Quick guide on How to Use Macro Toolkit ●

Get the Addon here for the 5.4.2 Version of the game
Extract it and put in "Wow_folder/Interface/Addons"

● Step 1 ●

Open up your standard Macros Panel by typing "/m"

Hey Kid, nice work man;)

noticed some lines that are not so useful

/cancelaura feign death,
you don't need this line cause ppl tend to spam this and sometime they want to stay FDed for more than 1 sec, and it may take them out of it, for example opponents being bad at targeting so it gives their healer more time to heal em up, and if you want to cancel feign death you just have to press something.

Also

/cancelaura Camouflage,

You wont be able to use Camo till the CD is done, and CD is the same as the duration of the Camo, so if you are in Camo you CD isnt up and if you are out of Camo before CD ends then obviously you cant use it.

Other than that this looks great;)

i use /cancelaura Camouflage to cancel it, sometimes i need to cancel to take the flag for example or to loot something without having to manually cancel camouflage. For Feign Death, you're right :p i'll remove it.

I would like to reccomend these 2 macros that I use:

Human Tracking:
Insteand of the track near the minimap, u can use this macro:
/run SetTracking(7, true)
/run SetTracking(7, false)

FIrst click will set ur Humanoid Track on, the second one will track it off.

Misdirection AllInOneButtonMacro:

/cast [@focus,help][help][@pet,exists] Misdirection

If your have a focus, and he is friendly, Misdirection will target the focus.
If your dont have a friendly focus, you will cast Misdirection to ur target, if it's friendly.
If your target and focus are not friendly, you will cast misdirection to your pet!
