1. 2v2 double dps compositions

I and a friend of mine are starting to play on Lordaeron as soon as it comes live, and we want to go for high ratings, without healer. Of course, it's mostly depends on player's skill, rather than only composition, but still, comp also plays role. Since we have not played WotLK since Molten opened Cataclysm realms, I thought I'd ask here about opinions.
What are some good double dps compositions?

I remember classic mage/rogue, also elemental/destro were melting faces...

  2. ret paladin // MM hunter is nice, Warlock shaman seems op

    Edit: wutang life tho

  3. As the above poster said, MM/Ret is a great comp.

However, from my experience, there are much better comps:
Spriest/Rogue: One of the greatest (if not the greatest) double dps comps in LK. If there's any comp just as good it is...
Frost Mage/Rogue: Definitely up there with the above comps in top double dps comps.
Spriest/Frost Mage: You may have noted a trend. Yes these three classes have excellent synergy with each other :P

Some more double dps comps that work (but aren't on the same tier as the above imo):
Unholy DK/Ret: Excellent sustain for a double dps class, the comp also has great pressure and burst.
MM Hunter/Rogue: The 2v2 version of the famous thugcleave, to be honest, it's not as good as it is in Cata. Still a great composition though if you really want to do it (but as you can see, rogue's have far better option, and again, Ret/Hunt is probably better for hunter too).
MM Hunter/Feral: 2v2 version of junglecleave. Again, not a big fan of this in LK (but its actually REALLY good in Cata with the PvE gear for the excellent damage)

I'm not that big a fan of Ele/Destro, Balance/Ele, Destro/Balance, etc. I personally find the above to be the strongest. Many others are viable for sure (DK/Warrior) but they just aren't as great as the above.

    Hope that helps.

  4. I would like to mention:
    - Ret/Rogue: it needs a lot of coordination but it has a lot of bursting damage and its survability is mainly related to the support abilities of the ret paladin , as much as any other ret combo. Combine all the crowd controls provided by the rogue with the strong burst of the ret pala and you have a really good team.
    - Ret/Frost Mage: just check the video Feel the Justice 5, made by Tehseus, to understand the potential of this arena team. It's quite the same as Ret/Rogue but maybe this one is even stronger against the mdps/healer combo, like Arms/Holy.
    - Arms Warrior/Enhancement Shaman: not so good as the ones I've mentioned above, and it's quite rare to see it, mostly because the Enhancement spec is quite hard to be played in pvp and it hasn't got the same support abilities of a ret paladin.
