Faction Change/gear transfer

Just wondering... If I happen to change factions from one to the other, will my PvP gear carry over or will it be locked out due to race restriction? Is there anything I should do beforehand? I havn't tested it and I'm wondering if it would be a mistake to do this on my warrior. (MoP lv 90)

Faction specific items should be converted to opposite factions items when changing faction. For most items it works but a few might not get converted properly.

Thank you very much. I'll take the risk and will just have to replace whatever doesn't convert.
