Well, even if there was a launcher you would have to download 17 GB so it's the same thing. Just download the client via torrent and you will eventually play.

Not only do you REALLY have to download this 17GB, you also can not play on Lordaeron today :) Only on Lordaeron PTR because the realm itself is not released yet.
This 17GB is downloaded in a couple of minutes if you have nice internet :) Enough peers around.
