1. Chat channel rules and language

Are the channel rules going to be actively enforced? Or will it end up like the other garbage servers where there's lines of guild recruitment and trades every millisecond?

Global is a global, faction-specific general chat. Not a 'dump any chat you want in here' channel. There's already Trade channel and Guild Recruitment channel, as well as subforums on this site.

Cluster**** of spam including non-English language: http://oi57.tinypic.com/10wu23n.jpg

Will chat channel rules be enforced, including muting violators for a set amount of time, or will it end up like all the other servers where its a free for all and generally makes the server experience less fun?

  2. Bump.

Two GMs were in-game just now and did not respond to me repeatedly asking the question:

Can there be separate chat channels for LFG and guild ads instead of everything on global?

Just use this and /world will be enjoyable again.
PS: You can also add own Filters, (I addet the whole russian alphabet and RDF and a other few Legendary items to my Filter :P)

  4. worst part is, you have to read this all if you want do dung.

  5. Cry a river? There are plenty of ignore add ons out there, what exactly is the problem? If you dont like global - leave it and create your own channel. Regardless of what YOU and others for that matter think, it is there. Get yourself an ignore add on, ignore people in game or just shut up about it, its not like you cant do anything about your own fun and stay on there.

Edit; Short and mannered version of this reply is Zenjuros reply, its all it takes indeed.

  6. Use the modified assfilter addon, global was always a mess...
but there are worse things than guild recruitment spam - racism, flamewars about religion and politics, insults, trolling, etc., etc.

If anything, this chat could use some full time moderatos with the ability to mute and ban ppl...

I support this post for reasons.

  8. had same problems.

    solution?
    1) find good guild
    2) type /leave global
    3) have a nice day!

best regards (it is not a troll post - a heart-fully advice)

  9. Here's how you do it:

    1. Right Click on "General" (Chat) and then on " Create New Window ".
    2. A pop-out will appear with text " Enter chat window name "
    3. Type in Global or World or what ever you want.
You'll notice a third box appeared next to your "General", "Combat Log" called "Global" or what ever you named it.
    4. Right Click on it. Go into Settings.
In Settings there will be three Categories "Chat", "Global Channels" and "Other".
    5. Uncheck everything in all three Categories.
    6. Go back to "Global Channels", find Global and Check it.

    After you've done that...

    1. Right Click on "General" and select Settings.
    2. In Setting go into "Global Channels" and Uncheck "Global".

There, you've made a separate chat window for Global. Now you can jump on Global chat whenever you want, to find whatever you want, and what's the best part, you won't have to look at toxicity all the time. Small amounts of it aren't that dangerous... You can endure it while you look for Instance, Guild, Quest etc.

  10. That doesn't solve even half the issue. It's like removing mold from a piece of bread and attaching it at the other end.

When you want to look for a group / sell/buy an item, you still have to go through all the guild advertisements, russians, **** spammers, thunderfury links, etc. in order to get what you need. That is why having a spam filter addon (I am ofc biased towards mine) is superior in every aspect.

  11. Why should anyone have /global on his General Chat. Oh my god that sounds terrible :D
