Will Faction change be available for this server anytime soon? I started leveling here and then my guild came from another server but leveled alliance while I had already leveled horde.

Woah, easy there bud. I didn't mean to offend, I'm not trying to rock the boat or start up a **** storm or anything. Was just curious and asking to see if anyone has heard anything about this. That's totally fine if not, it sucks to restart but I'll start up my new character tonight. However, if you don't mind me asking, why is it such a bad thing and/or non-hardcore to allow faction changes? Honestly just curious not trying to piss you off or anything, I would like to understand the reasoning behind it for informative purposes, thank you.

EDIT: This is my first time playing on any warmane server, I don't want to name the realms I came from for obvious reasons but I'm brand new here and unfamiliar with policies, rules, and etc here...just trying to inform myself :)

I can understand that, I love my current faction and very much prefer to stay horde. But my loyalty to my guild that I've been playing with for ~3 years across multiple private servers is greater than my loyalty to a specific faction :(. However, with that said I totally get faction loyalty and how it helps create more "animosity" for the other faction if people arent switching back and forth and socializing with both sides!

Thing with changing faction, rename etc is that you have that on other realms. This should be hard core realm without point shop, renaming characters, faction, gender bla bla changes. And limited coin shop without Shadowmourne. Reason: Because its better that way ;)

Okie Dokie, I have no experience on the other realms so I guess I'll take your experience on those realms as my own and assume that its bad to do these things. Kind of kills the point of discussion/education when the given reason is "just because" but I suppose there are actual good reasons behind the just because. Thanks for your input though, I appreciate it.

We have that experience beleive us. First it started with some basic things on old Lordaeron, then we had realm transfers, then coin shop= 50% of realm running with shadowmourne. So lame and sad.

Oh I believe you, I hope I didn't come off as sarcastic or dickish in my previous post, if I did than I apologize. 50% of the realm running with shadowmourne certainly sounds lame. If this is for the betterment of the server and you guys have experienced what happens when it is allowed than I will take your word for it. Like I said, I always love to hear the side of the opposition, I can never learn/grow and change my position/stance on subjects if I do not!

if people would start reading thread on the forum that are stickied thus guaranteeing that they are always under the first handfull of threads less people would start snapping because there wouldnt be constantly over and over the same questions asked or stupid whining because of features that have been announced 3 MONTHS prior to its release...

There is nothing hardcore about disabling race and faction transfers. As a player who's had firsthand experience in the true hardcore raiding experience in retail, believe me when I tell you that its those players who make the most use of these features. Adding an unblizzlike restriction for the sake of having a restriction isn't hardcore. It's absurd. I'd understand if they instead maybe gave it a long cool down, but disabling those features entirely is a very ill advised decision.
The lack of availability of faction transfers on Lordaeron simply means to me that if my guild disbands and the only available raiding guild that raids at a suitable time for me is on the other faction, I won't get into the bother of leveling and gearing a character all over again to play with them - I'll simply quit playing on the server and head back to the other Wotlk realms.

You...you do realize that things change right? Just because a thread is stickied and something was announced 3 MONTHS PRIOT TO RELEASE doesn't mean it isnt subject to change. Like I said, this is my first time on this server and the past servers I've been on there have been actual discussions between GM staff and population in global/world chat and decisions were made there and changes implemented to the server. Thats why I was asking if there was any more recent and updated information in regards to this. You don;t have to be such a dick and call people stupid or assume someone is whining because they are asking a question. Maybe you should start reading the actual thread you are posting in before you make asinine statements like yours.
I have been nothing but courteous and appreciative of any up to date info given and if you actually read the thread you would see that neither myself nor anyone else has been "whining". You prick.

i tried to explain why he reacted that way, but yea you are right im the dick here not you going all mental on someone that tried to explain why ppl react the way they do.
and yes things do change but dont you think such big change like in policy or how a realm progresses wouldnt be either plastered directly on the frontpage news or in the information thread about the server ?
if being asinine means trying to explain things yea sure then im the master of it its alot better than snapping at people that explain why something may or may not happen.
also if you would take a glance at the forum for even 10 seconds you would see that i am not talking about your thread exclusively.
