I noticed the lower tiered Ashen Ring, iLevel 268 in point shop. With the ring being unique, i.e. can't have a second one even if you have one in your bank, what happens if someone votes or donates for a second ring for a second spec? Does it just live in their mailbox?

You can have more than one AV ring. I got Tank and DPS/Heal on some chars.

You can have and equip two different Ashen bands (let's say agility+str ones) simultaneously.
What I want to know is if you can buy the revered version through Marketplace and upgrade it to exalted in-game (whilst already having another Exalted ring with you) or not. Being able to upgrade it in-game would make buying the expensive versions from Marketplace pointless, but you never know.

I'm wondering that myself, Jiji, not sure I wanna pull the trigger on a 24 point vote ring to find out I can't upgrade it in-game.

You can't upgrade it in-game if you've already obtained a ring from the reputation. I can't say for certain how the quests will react to already having a ring, but you'll end up with one un-upgraded ring anyway.

You won't bee able to upgrade it. Atleast you shouldn't. Either you allready have completed the upgrade path and can only trade a maxed out ring against another maxed out version. If you are still on the upgrade path you still won't be able to do it.
Let's say you have the 268 Str Ring and buy the the 268 agi one with points or coins. The problem is that you are locked in on the strenght ring upgrade path.
To be able to upgrade your agility ring you would have to complete the " A change of Heart" ( or whatever it's called) quest aka trade your str ring against another agility one, leaving you with 2 agility rings.Edited: October 10, 2015
