There are a few quests that will be impossible to do when you are much higher level than the quest, most noticeable is "Toxic Tolerance", which is part of a quest chain that leads to a mount reward.
There will not be given help in these cases.
So while leveling can be tough work, and your game hours are low due to work and such, consider leveling manually, since you WILL want all mounts later in game.... that's just human nature!

As far as I am concerned, that quest is just bugged.
That said, you can transfer to the Alliance and do the Winterspring Frostsaber quest chain, which is arguably faster, albeit even more boring. When you transfer back, that mount will be converted to the raptor you want.

The quest works on a level 55, and everything around that.
While faction transfer MIGHT solve the problem, I fear it will give problems to other achievements, and give problems unknown places, though I have no experience with this.

I don't know, I did it at level 80, and it just did not work. I did not know it worked at lower levels.
Faction transfers can lead to problems with achievements, I confirm that.

The quest is actually bugged, you should in fact be able to get hits on a level 80, although much harder. But that's impossible on molten.
That being said, I got my Venomhide Ravasaur a few weeks ago, just get a lvl 50 to take the hits for you. Once you actually start the damn dailies you'll be laughing at how easy this part was.

Hey, I just got back to "Molten" and I had a level 80. Just wondering if I will get my character back? I tried sending a ticket, but no response. Probably not the correct thread to post this at.
Is it still possible to get a free level 80?
