Technical WoW Game Mouse

Hey there,

I'm new to these servers, I just downloaded it and made my first character, and am now messing with the settings abit before I start playing. I was wondering if it's somehow possible to get my World of Warcraft gaming mouse to work though, I've always used it on retail and I can't imagine playing without it at this point, however on these private servers it just gives me an error message saying it can't find the mouse and I should retry when I have it plugged in.
Any help is appreciated, hoping for a positive answer, thanks in advance ^^

It helps to know what client you're playing with.

Wotlk, 3.3.5a. the option for the WoW gaming mouse is in the interface is there, but i simply get an error stating I should retry when I have one plugged in, which I have. I've tried the obvious stuff like trying to bind stuff via the mouse's software rather then ingame or trying to unplug it and plug it back in, so idk what to do :P.

Have you tried updating to mouse's drivers to it's latest version?

Just checked to be sure, but drivers are definately up to date, I use the mouse on retail version and it works just fine.

Have you attempted to use it in Cata or MoP? It could be something about that expansion.

No I haven't. I've had the mouse since late MoP (retail) and WoD. It just doesn't work on this server (albeit this is my first private server, so I don't know if it would on others).
