I dont know if its only me STILL a bit mad about this but anyways..
Don't you guys think we got a bit too little back after everything was wiped? I mean i had a 6k DK 5k Paladin(two specs) and 5.5k + shaman 5.5k+ priest and like 3 other chars 4k + and all i recieved after crash was 150 point (15 points on new point shop) and 30 coins. I mean thats not even enough to get 2 chars to 5k.
And i think alot about people that had like 10 6k+ chars without donating. what did they get back? Im not sure if im the only one and if i should just get over this cause i know sadle, nothing will change.
P.S 5k+ chars was pvp and pve geared 5k+

Technically, Warmane could had NOT given you anything to get started. They could had NOT refund coins. They could had NOT brought us this private server back. With this in mind, be happy you received what you did.

Unfortunately most non-donators got screwed after Molt-Down happened. But if you don't support the server why should the server support you? I don't know...your options are to start over or NOT play here. Warmane doesn't owe anyone anything really, it is after all a private server.

Being honest, everyone got screwed. Including the staff. If we gave out too much compensation, what incentive would people have had to donate in order for us to get back up off the ground?

I agree but it wasnt moltens aim to compensate only the donors.
Non-donators got screwed because all the data about their earned gear was lost so Molten didnt had the opportunity to restore their gear.
On the other hand the donation history was still available so it was possible to restore all the coins.
If u donated ur whole gear it was possible to get everything back.
As non donor u were screwed.

Totally agree....Had a bunch of rare items/mounts/achievements after years of playing that I will probably never get back....
Sure I got some coins back, but no where near to replace everything I had. in 2014 before moltdown, I used to play 10-15 hours a week...In 2015, I've logged in to recreate my toons and withdraw mail items, and maybe played 10-15 hours TOTAL this year...

I feel ya, running so many server's ain't cheap. Not even talking about the development/scripting and wages. But on the other hand I do understand people that have lost countless months of farming, me included.
I guess people just need to realize that this is a private server and such risks exist. So they just have to let it go.

I remember the promise of profession mats in vote shop...J/K they wiped vote shop instead and still Cata and MoP don't have a real vote shop.

To be honest, you play on a free server.
**** happens sometimes and in this case characters got wiped.
Technically Molten owes you nothing.
The time you put into the characters you had was a way for you to pass your days, and not something you physically worked for.
This is not the first server that had a database wipe in the history of pservers.
So please stop posting these kind of posts. Yeah you're not the only one that feels this way but no one owed you anything anyways.

IMO moltdown was the best thing ever, because now we finally have a decent x1 WotLK server, that's the best compensation.
So stop whining.

In my honest opinion, people really shouldn't hate on non-donators. Some people have a reason that they can't. I would donate the **** out of this place, but I don't have a job yet and money is tight. I was there for Moltdown and it did offer a great chance to start over. Sadly, I didn't donate. I couldn't get any gear for my characters. To this day, I still don't have gear and I only have about 2 points on my account. I am working on getting the achievement requirement but it is turning out to be tougher than I thought. Anyways, I respect the staff and those who did or didn't donate. We are all players of the same game.
