WOTLK Can't login, account doesn't exist?

I recently made an account, and I've looked around the forum for a solution as to why I can't login.

I downloaded the WOTLK client with the new models and I changed my realmlist because the first had an .RU at the end of it.

I'm not sure if there is another prerequisite besides verifying my email in order for me to enter the game, but I hope not.

Can anyone assist me with this problem?

No you should be able to enter. Just to make sure, look at this thread to verify you updated your realmlist correctly. Also, enter in your username not email.

That isn't my problem. I already changed all that and I use my username as my ID. Is the client outdated maybe? does my client have to be in a specific folder? does it have to have it's original name?

what message appear after you try to log-in? if possible a screenshot would be even better

The information you have entered is not valid. please check the spelling of the account name and password. if you need help in retrieving a lost or stolen password and account, see (etc)

Edit: So, apparently, even though I can login to the website, either my ID or password is too ****ing long or something, because I just made a shorter account name and it works.

This happened once before when I joined. Why the hell am I able to login into the site but not the game with EXCEPTIONAL length passwords and IDs? what am I doing that makes these ids NOT RECOGNIZED by the server?

SOLVED: It's a password issue. I use a combination of numbers and words that make this happen. I'm not sure why, but it happens on other servers as well. Don't make your passwords too long. Go at least 3 below the allowed digits.
