1. Aesthetic & functionality questions

Well I went on Lordaeron and made my first character a shaman, which I mostly want for resto/healing, thought about paladin, but everyone going that anyway.

I'll later make a DK tank blood, loved it way too much.

Anyway I made a ORC shaman since ..well.. big f. shoulders thats why :D. But I honestly thought that Blood Fury increased spell power, as in, healing power and damage, turns out it only increases spell damage...

I only noticed this now, at level 30... not sure if would go troll even if I had the chance, but their racial is vastly superior.

So, any redeeming quality that the orcs have? I guess it works for elemental since you would stack quite a bit of haste, making the troll racial (while still better) "not as good" as raw spell damage.
But from a healing perspective orc seems quite useless, or am I missing any redeeming quality here?

  2. racials can't make up for bad healing in any case. Troll racial is for sure better for healing situations, but nothing gamebreaking...play race which fantasy you love...

  3. Uzihunter said it very well, really. :) For example, when it comes to Warriors - my favorite race is Orc (wow, surprise) and I also like Forsaken, but I dislike Tauren: they're just too derpy and clumsy for me. Even though Forsaken racials are not better than Orc or Tauren racials tank-wise (although 2% shadow spell miss and Fear removal are VERY useful on WotLK in general), I just like the rugged determined look of a Forsaken Warrior, fighting with deathly intent, not afraid to die or get hurt.

An orc shaman is a classic roll, so if you enjoy your character just play it :) Sure, the orc racials are absolutely outrageous for Enhancement (they benefit that spec in every single way possible), the troll racial is the best PvE racial in the game, and the tauren racial is superb in PvP, but if you like your shaman, then keep playing it ;)

  4. Thanks, yea I wasn't gonna change any time soon, and I don't really like enhancement that much, but eh, w/e. At least I got giant shoulders, that counts for something xD.
