Technical Disconnect after joining server (unable to play)

I've just started playing a couple days ago and I've been facing a problem.

I simply get disconnected out of the server with the message "You've been disconnected from the server" after less than 30 secs of logging in game, sometimes it takes a few minutes to disconnect me. What happens is that after I log in, I can play normally for about 30 secs / 1 min max, then the entire world starts freezing up, I can't cast any spells (only displays the animation, not the actual cast bar) and I cannot interact with anything in the world, although I do see players moving and attacking monsters, although I cannot. Shortly after, I get disconnected to the main screen with the previous message I quoted. I've tested this on Lordaeron and on Deathwing.. so apparently it's not realm specific.
Any help would be greatly appreciated since I have no clue what to do anymore.
Things I've already tried:
1- Setting the realmlist to:
set realmlist logon.warmane.com
set patchlist logon.warmane.com
2- Setting the realmlist to:
set realmlist logon.warmane.com
3- Restarting the router
4- Launching WoW as admin
None seem to have worked.

Bumping this thread.

1) close WoW and delete WDB inside WoW's Cache folder
2) disable all your AddOns and now try to log-in and play
3) If it will not work then in case you are using Wotlk with WoD models then try to use a standard Wotlk, you can find here: https://www.warmane.com/download "Wotlk (old)"
