Storm Peaks/Icecrown

Two very important quests that used to work are now broken which means that you cant reach the sons of hodir in Storm Peaks (The Drakkensryd). And the last line of Defense in Icecrown, neither of those quests are working which means you cant progress into the zone. These quests used to work but now they're bugged which means im stuck at level 78 grinding mobs to reach 80

The Drakkensryd harpoons are bugged but you can still complete the quest if you are a ranged dps or have a rdps friend tag and kill the drake riders for you (I do it all the time). Last line of defense cannons dont work properly and you have to kill the mobs by yourself. Both quests are kinda buggy but are doable, try it yourself.

Drakkensryd is not doable, we've been trying with ranged dpsers but the mobs are out of reach. Even if I dismount on top of them and try to Moonfire it says out of reach..

100% this ^. I've done both of them this way. I'd love for WM to fix the bugged quest, sure, but it's not game breaking and stopping you from getting to 80.

Don't wanna be rude here, but you're doing it wrong. You gotta get a range dps (i did it on my dk with a spriest in party) and get as far out as you can and yes i assure you this can be done and i'm not trolling you.

Solutions:

Last Line of Defense:
- Kill them yourself
- Wait for server crash/reset to fix the cannons

Drakkensryd:
- Be a ranged DPS
- Get a ranged DPS to help you


Finally and this goes for any quest and not just those ones, if a quest is bugged, look it up on the bugtracker for possible solutions. Usually there is some work around, even if it may be a frustrating one.

We've tried standing on the edge as close to falling down as you can with a full ranged dps group, no one can reach them..

Stand on the rocks not on the Platform, or respec to improved range for spells.
But you can do it with 30y completely fine.

offtopic: no wonder you started a thread for naxx nerfs multiple times.. when you cant even figure out yourself how to do this quest when everyone else does..

Solutions have been posted. They're not working optimally, but can be completed. Do that for starters.

So many broken quest chains i couldn't even loot the Zul Drak floating crypts skull to finish teh quest line on top of those ice crown / storm peak bugs I coudln't talk to king of hodir to get next part of quest after harpoons since i had to range them down...Wish this server had that .qc (quest name) ie checks the quest to see if bugged and if so it auto completes that quest so you can move on to next it was a genius fix for another priv server wish it worked here instead i have to grind a level and a half to get to 80..../wrists.

Lol, so many broken quests? I'm lvl79 and still in sholozar and my mate got 80 when he was at Zul'drak. Yes there are few broken chains, but you still can get 80 while leveling, you just need to do all quests that you can see.

im sorry but guys saying " get a ranged to do it " are brain dead *****s... the fact that you can do a quest in some way doesnt mean that the quest is working...

Tbh the way you do it could be considered exploiting because you are doing it not the way it is supposed to work.. which in turn is the definition of exploiting, same with mob tagging... it isnt supposed to give full xp but it does... then why one is punishable end the other isnt?

me as a hunter tried it, i did it like 2 weeks ago while standing on the same spot, and at the moment u r not able to attack them even when u r facing them (try to mount up and fly directly next to them). they are ALWAYS out of reach. The point is, those are chain quests which are important to the reputations which are needed most cus of shoulder enchants. Its not about getting to 80 or not
