You cannot report people people for killing quest givers.
It is a gank or be ganked world out there, and knowing Northend, Alliance base is ALWAYS attacked by Twinks (Dark Lotus, Twinkle Little Star, TOS), if not twinks, 90s, if not 90s, some gank-happy orc Rogue that goes by the name Byrim (Byrim the best ganker of frostwolf).
Allaince to do the same thing at Warsong Hold, but despite all of this, NOTHING CAN COMPARE, to the onslaught that takes place in Hellfire Peninsula's Thrallmar/Honor Hold, it's a warzone.You won't see questgivers because you will be spending your days as a ghost in that zone unless you quest elsewhere.

Well a few weeks ago, you can easily speak to ally/horde and reason with them to stop,this stopped a majority of conflicts. Now we have to resort to gestures, and sometimes the opposing enemy cannot see the gestures in time nor care for it, and will attack you. The says of speaking to opposite faction is over, now you have to watch your back unless the other guy knows you.
For starters, if they gank you, I suggest you invest in this:

Duskwood is also frequently invaded by horde players. Ganking lowbies and killing questgiver NPCs just to annoy people .... are what you shoud expect from a PVP server.

recently i lvled a char to 90.
and guess how many times i've had conflict with enemy faction?
1time.
and it wasn't even a ganker but had lvl close to mine (I managed to win).
If you know where to lvl up, you won't be ganked.
It was a DK, so I got 64 lvls for free, but still.

skip the quests.. go somewhere else. issue resolved.
it's quite funny to me that someone resorts to killing such an irrelevant npc when there's so many places to quest

You'd be surprised. The killing of a specific NPC in Northend was enough to cause many 90s from Alliance side to show up,and eventually they were pushed out of their own faction town due to "Twinkle Take Over Week". This happen a few months ago and the town was on Horde control for that long lol.
Alliance had no choice but to go to this town for Northend if they don't have access to Dalaran portals, or have any knowledge of the Wetlands boat.
I also like to add that the take over was so great, even some Horde threaten the guy who ordered town control with a faction change, just to, kick his arse, if you will. It ended with a certain Stormborn guild member sending the guy who lead this week long raid in a 1v1, this Horde paladin wasn't killed by this Stormborn guy on ally side, but was literally sent RUNNING FOR THE HILLS of Borean Tundra lol.
TL;DR version
Twinkles took over a week and pissed off both factions, even horde try to faction change to stop it. Stormborn Shaman came along and consider the head of the Twinkle pack a rival and challenged him in an indoors 1v1, Twinkle lead wasn't killed but was sent fleeing the town on foot, he didn't care to use a mount and kept running and never seen again.Edited: February 6, 2016
