1. A question about the speed of a mount

I want to buy Blazing Hippogryph but i dont know the speed of it. Is it %280 or %310 ? Please help me.

    Edit : Also X-51 Nether-Rocket X-TREME.

  2. The mount itself has nothing to do with speed, it's the riding skill that sets the mount speed. Some mounts can only be used if you have high riding skill. If you have all the riding skills, you can use any mount at that speed.

  3. I have 300 riding skills. is it enough or how can i improve it ?

  4. I have 300 riding skills. is it enough or how can i improve it ?
Level up, keep buying the higher level riding skill

Unless you're talking about WotLK, where mounts seem to have fixed speed for each. 300 is the limit in that XPack iirc

  5. Yeah im talking about WotLK. i saw someone with blazing hippo. it was %280. Is there anyway to make it %310 ?

  6. Don't think so. It would be possible in Cata since the Riding skill cap gets increased. But for WotLK, it doesn't go beyond Artisan (280%). 310% is Master riding skill, which can only be obtained in Cataclysm beyond

Unless DK/Pala speed boost works on Flying mount that is

  7. I'm paladin. Can i get %310 mount speed ? I mean without crusader aura .

  8. Don't think so. It would be possible in Cata since the Riding skill cap gets increased. But for WotLK, it doesn't go beyond Artisan (280%). 310% is Master riding skill, which can only be obtained in Cataclysm beyond

There are plenty of 310% mounts in wotlk.

This is definitely not a Cataclysm nor Wrath of the Lich King mount.

I don't believe these are, either.

Yes. You just need to obtain a 310% mount, and all of your mounts for that character will be boosted to 310% while flying.

  10. X-51 Nether-Rocket X-TREME is 280% speed mount and that can not be changed. Blazing Hippogryph should take the speed of your fastest mount according to its description but it stays at 280% for me on Deathwing. Not sure if it's not supposed to increase to 310% or it's not working for that mount. There are a few mounts that have 310% speed themselves in wotlk and a few others that take the speed of your fastest mount.

    You can check their description:
This is a very fast mount. - 280%
This is an extremely fast mount. - 310%

Yes. You just need to obtain a 310% mount, and all of your mounts for that character will be boosted to 310% while flying.
If this thread is about wotlk only specific mounts scale with riding skill and speed of fastest mount obtained. Not sure about other expansions.

  11. X-51 Nether-Rocket X-TREME is 280% speed mount and that can not be changed.
Then it should be reported. It isn't supposed to behave that way.

Edited my previous post with a reply. On wotlk 280% speed mounts don't and shouldn't change to 310%. Only specific mounts with "This mount changes depending on your Riding skill and location" or similar texts in description change depending on riding skill and speed of fastest mount.

  13. Thanks for all answers guys. i know how to get ashes of alar but not the %310 nether drakes. How can i get them ?

    Edit: without any coins

  14. You don't. They are arena rewards for gladiators.

    You're right. I stand corrected. Reference: http://wow.gamepedia.com/Mount
