WotLK Pet does not attack anything while in defensive mode?

On live, the pet assists you while its in defensive mode, here it does not, while its in defensive mode it will only attack someone who attacks you first.. This is a problem for dps... any fix to this? While the pet is in defensive mode it is suppose to assist you in killing your target, in RDF and pvp so far I noticed that it does not assist, just sits by your side.

Pretty sure it's been like that on Warmane for over 6 years. It shouldn't bother you much if you include /petattack in your shot macros.

Also, you don't always want to have your pet on defensive. In some cases you might ninja pull some mobs in RDF = rip :'(

Just get into a habit of using /petattack and /petfollow
