WotLK Mouse is VERY erratic

So my son installed the WOTLK client on his laptop and his having major problems with the mouse look feature. It tracks super fast all over the place, regardless of the settings he adjusts.
MOVING the mouse is perfectly fine, he can interact and everything OK.
Its when he holds his right or left mousebutton to look around or run, it jumps pretty much everywhere like it is tracking at 100x speed.

I searched Q+A, couldn't find a similar topic. Anyone know what could be causing this?

Sorry to hear your son has been having issues with his mouse. I have a suspicion it has to do with his camera. What I would suggest is renaming your WTF folder to WTF-temp and your INTERFACE folder to INTERFACE-temp. Delete your cache folder. Disable all addons that are currently running. And finally, disable any mouse software that may have been installed for other purposes.

Once you've done all that, open up the game and see if the issue persists. If you manage to fix the issue, then rename your WTF and INTERFACE folders back to their original names and you should be good to go.
