1. 3.3.5 mac issue when launching game

i just installed the 3.3.5 launcher for mac, and i when i try to open it i get an error message that says "the program World of Warcraft can't be opened"... does anyone else have this problem? how do i fix it

  2. Go into System Preferences > Security and Privacy > make sure you allow apps downloaded from anywhere. If that doesn't work, try right clicking your launcher > show package contents > content > MacOS > click on the binary inside there.
It's because for some reason the binary file is typed as a text file. That should fix it.

  3. its still not working, i tried the chmod +x command in terminal but nothing is happening.. its still a text file. im using the newest OS X El Capitan, can this be the problem?

  4. Did you drag your wow file next to that command separated by a space?

  5. Yea, thank you, it works now. But my characters from my old account is gone. Do you know if i can fix that too ?

  6. Okay so i just logged on for the first time since it was called arena tournament. Back then i had VIP and now when i just logged on i dont have any of my characters or anything??

  7. Yea, thank you, it works now. But my characters from my old account is gone. Do you know if i can fix that too ?
Didn't you merge your AT Account with a Molten/Warmane Account? then you Character are lost, the Account Merge is not possible anymore.
If you manage to do the merge in the past then your old Characters are on Blackrock realm ( new name of old AT Wotlk).

Anyway at the moment on Blackrock ALL end-game gear is free, so you can re-make all your old Characters in less than a minute with "pick a spec npc" ( new name of old "tamplate npc")

  8. It's because for some reason the binary file is typed as a text file. That should fix it.
Same problem with Mac OS X El Capitan. I don't understand the text file passage. What I have to do with binary file?
