HELP. Downloaded the torrent for my mac but can't get it to run!

I have a 2015 MacBook Pro that runs on El Capitan. I downloaded the torrent and i tried to open the files to run the game but keeps saying that it can't open files. I've looked all over for ways to get it to work but I must be stupid because all the tutorials confuse me or i get through it and it still doesn't work. Please can someone help? If you can explain in the simplest terms possible that would be great.
