Really, see this as a journey. It's a part of the game you, won't want to hear / accept it (yet)
You see, we people fluently get addicted to finish things, to expect things as of X happening when X and didn't even ended up on a look beeing motionless when nothing happens.
As long as it goes for this i really can just tell you things in life are just as enjoyable as the joy you're able to share with the people you live it out with. =)
Make connections, spread fun and live out
this is how game use to be in WOTLK leveling take ages.as for hiting faster lv 100 sure its normal since they make the exp you need per level like 5 times less.70-71 on WOTLK is 1.5mil exp in WOTLK, in WOD is like 300k thats how much easy they made it.top of that WOD have like 11 heirlooms + all kind of EXP buffs+ you simple spam RDF on retail, have you seen someone questing in WOD? that **** die in cata.

Just me dude, i'm a retail/former retail players and i can tell you that current Retail WoW has freaking ruined me. I use to thank them for their little changes to leveling, now i completely resent it as i realize how bad they made the game and just killed off the journey so people can rush to endgame and pretty much raid or die.
Well.. quite a lot, A LOT more than in other games or newer expansion, my closest call is Cataclysm, and that is miles faster than wotlk, so take that as a comparison, im sure newer expansions made it even easier.
The good thing however is that you can group up frequently for dungeon quests and gear, and also dungeon exp, but its still "slow". No lvl 80 in a week or even 2 weeks, if you play like 4 hours a day.
I got a total of 4 days and 15 hours and I'm almost lvl 62. That means a grand total of 111 hours /4 (average hours/day), means roughly 28 days, almost a month give or take.
I also leveled fishing, cooking, JWC and mining though to 300+ (except fishing, cuze **** that).
this so much, haha, I came from a vanilla and this didn't feel slow at all. :-D
The only part were it felt as it slowed down was once you got to northrend on your first char and you have to run around on ground mount until 77. Outside if that it was all fun for me.
Remember i lvled with the mindset of completing a zone or two every session instead of making x amount of levels, helped me for sure on this "journey":P
Well, spamming RDF is easy and boring, but it's not very effective when compared to questing and picking treasures. Most people I know do a mix of rdf and questing on retail. And everyone who is playing / has played wod have been questing for quite a lot, even if they skipped everything except garrison quests. For many people the game starts when you get max level, I'm glad leveling is not as annoying in wotlk/wod as it was in vanilla.
