WotLK Logging in Problems

I can't login for few days straight now. I haven't changed my settings at all before I was able to login and play smoothly.

Things I tried to do:
-Connect through another network
-DNS flush
-Connect through another IP
-Disabling my firewall
-Restarting my PC
-Restarting my router
-Changing my realmlist, multiple times
-Having my friend login my account to see if that works (it does)

I tried connecting through my friend's VPN who is able to login. Unfortunately, it still didn't work.

Please help. Everyone is able to login in my guild, except me.
I have done everything and done it correctly, and have even seeked help in forums, to no response in a few days whatsoever. I know that the logon servers have been DDoSed and ever since I wasn't able to login whereas other people can. That is why I am trying to notify you of this issue and seek further guidance.

I don't think that this issue is coming from my side, since as I mentioned before - I had done everything I could possibly do in order to fix this issue. I had checked the Q/A and the Technical Guides, as long with other different research that could possibly cause the connection issues. Please understand my frustration; I have been able to login other servers by attempting to and there is however no complex issues related connection to WotLK realms such as downloading new launchers like that of Cataclysm. Lastly, there is no problem regarding my account, because my friend was able to login although him being from another country - Netherlands, whereas I live in the UK.

download a new Wotlk client ( do not delete the old one ofc)
According "Things I tried to do" it seems you haven't tried yet, also try to use Google DNS
