1. Worried about the population

As the title says, population numbers are worrying me. After the Moltdown, sure, Warmane lost many players, but still, these numbers now are getting worrying. It feels like when we get one new player, 2 players leave this server. Is there any publicity at all anymore? Why does it feel like day by day, it's just getting emptier and amptier?

  2. Because it's workday and in Europe it's night - 1:25 - 2:25 AM etc. And since a lot more players are from Europe than from other continents, of course that when it's night in Europe numbers are a lot smaller because those players are sleeping.
(Especially the younger ones who have school, people who work in morning etc).

Numbers are pretty decent during the day in Europe. :P

Now new content and 3.0 retail was pretty boring as well. Not a lot of dailies and when people cleared Naxx, OS, EoE for the week there really wasn't a lot to do. Personally, I'm off on Ragnaros for now leveling 3 hunters multiboxing style and having fun. I'm a big pvp'er but Lordearon's 3.3 class build is killing pvp for me as every melee seems to just flatten every caster. Time and time again I watch fellow casters get wrecked and that's no fun.

Maybe when gear starts to balance out the talent points things'll get better.

  4. Well, yeah, I play on Ragnaros and it's kinda dead since the core update... which is weird.
IDK, maybe the "new" raids are too hard for people who were used to tank-spank bosses (like DBS and PP in ICC). I've heard that ToC PUGs can't get past the faction champions and ICC groups skip PP etc. >.<

  5. Also let's not forget that summer is coming, plenty of casual players who kill time during crap seasons (winters/autumns) otherwise would much rather spend free time elsewhere, every online game's population starts tanking to some extent the moment snow starts melting. And unless my memory serves me wrong, before the moltdown the difference in population was not that big compared to how it is now. The problem now is that we have 3 expansions, and few too many servers.

If they'd forget about those pointless pure pvp servers we would have fewer realms overall, but with higher population.
    Wotlk:
    Lordaeron
Deathwing (ragnaros blackrock merged with Deathwing)

    Cata:
Neltharion (warsong being the dead weight that it is,gets merged within neltharion)

    MoP:
    FW

  6. Realm population always withers during the summer season. Come the beginning of fall, all realms will be on the fast track to over-population and queues once more.

  7. Considering our track record in the past, I really am not worried. Not even in the slightest.

  8. I also think a large portion of players are waiting for the merge of Ragnaros and Deathwing to start, not wanting to have the hassle of dealing with the transfers. Not sure how many new players would be waiting, but I know a lot of existing players that want to try the new core but are waiting for the merge.

  9. As summer approaches, people start focusing on IRL fun instead of digital fun. Population decrease is something normal now. Me, I am quite active right now, playing on Ragnaros, raiding and having fun. I'm very happy with the newest updates to ICC - it was such a pleasure wiping for the first time on DBS because we realised too late that the adds now work and the whole raid had Mark :D

  10. As the title says, population numbers are worrying me. After the Moltdown, sure, Warmane lost many players, but still, these numbers now are getting worrying.
Molten had a lower population before the moltdown than Warmane has.
Hermes used to fake the population numbers and added +1k population to each realm.

  11. And some people take a break until ICC and ToC is fixed to the point where raids can clear it.

  12. they should make legion expansion first than any other private server, that's how they can gain more gamer.

  13. man for now there's even no retail legion server (only Alpha/Beta) and you want private haha :D

Not certain which realm you're talking about, but just a few days ago i checked how many people were online and it showed about 9 k during the evening in Europe. If that's not enough people for you, i don't know what is. This is one of the most highly populated realms there is, even retail realms have way less people per realm. There's more than enough ppl to to whatever you wish. I mean seriously, what exactly do you NEED a ton of ppl for anyway? I would consider this realm to be well populated, even if it had two or even 3 times less population than it has now + the guys that are 80 and geared and have done pretty much everything will just be offline more, until Ulduar is released. Some ppl go and some ppl come all the time, but i'd say the pop is solid and one of the reasons why it might have felt slightly bigger before, was that ppl kep their chars online afking etc, cos noone wanted to wait in the queue to log in. Now that the cap is 11k, ppl don't feel the need to keep their chars logged in anymore. (although u can just be on your character selection screen also to keep urself logged in). If you're not from Europe, ofcourse the pop is gonna be lower during the times that you're on, because the majority of the playerbase here is from Europe. + the merge of the 2 wotlk realms effects this + the seasons. More ppl are inside during winter, now that spring has begun, they spend less time inside.
