Yes but it is really expensive and you can't buy best in slot items.

Edit: So basically it is pay to advance but I doubt that many players are willing to pay such high price for mediocre gear.

You can buy gear, but it is not overpowred. The thing is on lordaeron is that the prices are a lot higher then the other realms here. This means that not too many people will be having gear from coin shop.

I have never had a problem with people donating on the server. You will not notice it easly.

As you can see here:

No point store
Limited coin store:
- No character level boosts
- No profession boosts
- No realm transfer
- No character rename
- No heirlooms
- No legendary items
- Limitations to companion and mount availability
- Item availability based on realm's progression
- Items available will be 1 Tier below items obtainable in-game until all content is released in all modes
- Must have a lower tier equipped before higher item can be obtained using coins
- Item level requirement (i.e. must have Edge of Agony equipped before Fleshrender can be obtained using coins
- Increased item coin costs

Ah... the good ol' P2W question.

I wouldn't call Lordaeron P2W. If anything, I'd call it P (huge amounts) 2 get up to like 70% of what top-level people have.

Additional note, it's always fun to watch naked rogues, mages, or random people wearing level 70 gear whip people who are BIS.

Lordaeron is not pay to win, it's more hardcore than Blizz servers though with much of the launch content being buffed verses the Blizzard and of course no dungeon finder. You can actually buy gear on Lordaeron, it's junk and it's expensive.

Example is I saw some level 60 shaman running around with Might of Menethil, which is not even available in WOTLK. That person purchased that for no small sum of money, it's useless beyond level 68.

Lasted reported numbers were from last year where they tanked to 5 million subs and that was with fresh content. I wonder what they're at now and how at that P2W stuff is working out for them?

Me thinks they got a little to greedy and lazy.

You can't buy gear from current level content, purchase character level, buy gold, and everything on the store is really expensive.

Some people say it is pay to win, some people say it isn't.

It's definitely not P2W. Pay to get your character gear to raid maybe, but yea its a tier below what you can get so nothing special. It also costs tons of money.

This. The rich people that WILL donate for gear no matter the cost will be there.
But that's also what keeps Warmane alive. I'd rather have some rich kids run around in BiS gear than the server being **** quality.
