WotLK New Models, help!

I'm having a few issues with the new models. Human faces are very strange when looking at their portraits, which isn't really that bothersome - but every time I sit at the barber on my night elf (female) I CTD after switching a few hairstyles. I've browsed these forums a bit and tried a few of the fixes to no avail.

I would just remove the new models, but the one link I found on the forums (a short guide) the link was broken and I don't trust another source for that sort of information. I'm hoping there's something I can do to fix this up, because I love the new models!

There are no fixes but you can remove WoD models. For some reason that forum thread is deleted. A cached version of it is available here:

Oh awesome! Thanks so much for the help! I'll just have to pick a hair that works with the new models and if it gets too terrible, remove them altogether! Q_Q

here is the guide to remove WoD models from your Wotlk Client:
1. Go to the folder you downloaded the WoW client to using Explorer/Finder (Windows/OS X).
2. Open the Data folder.
3. Delete the patch-w.mpq file.
4. Open the enUS folder.
5. Delete the patch-enUS-w.mpq file.
