Oh well, now I know why we couldn't get a sap off in some games, heh.
Now that we're on the topic of arena bugs, what's the deal with hunter's freezing traps? It's not the first nor the last time I get trapped instantaneously after the trap has landed on top of me without any arming time. Kinda dumb when the hunter doesn't even have to scatter me to get a trap off.
First of all, you are absolutely right, they rly should focus on fixing these kinds of bugs. They fixxed Distraction already, so Mage can go combat with invis. But i dont see how not getting a sap is somehow gamebreaking for rogs atm since you simply 2 shot ppl and esp mage/priest should get insta deleted. Nevertheless i hope they will focus on fixxing Swordspecc, Sacred Cleansing and Earth Shield over Combatbug
Without commenting anything other on your "rogues 2 shotting ppl" comment other than disagreeing with it, I think the combat bugs themselves are a fundamental part in arena strategy in terms of rogues that they should have a very high priority compared to spell bugs (not saying that they shouldn't be fixed as well).
You can always support bug reports with "Vote up".
By the way, is it bugged damage or works as intended ?
I can't remember rogues havin' that damage without tons of ICC gear with armor penetration rating.
Works as intended, he is obviously exaggerating. I don't think there's anything wrong with the damage rogues deal.
How is sacred cleansing bugged?
I still dont get what is wrong with swordspec.
As for the combat "bug" i didnt get what's wrong with it either, If he is refferring to be able to keep combat by constant rebuffing it is supposed to be so. This is the basic mechanic of PvP combat, or just look topic here http://www.arenajunkies.com/topic/150946-combat-trick/
If you compare rogue's damage on this patch and in icc gear, if we mean pvp gear, they don't scale wery well, in 335 gear sub rogues do only about x1.5 more damage. Considering that Health pool here is also about x1.5 less than in wrathful gear (for example pala has 29k in 335 and 20k health here) it makes rogues deal roughly the same damage in % of target's hp (given equal resilience in both cases). But! the amount of resilience here now is much lower. So basically rogues here hit like they would in wrathful gear but with the amount of resilience you have here in deadly gear. This is why it looks like they one-shot people. So in situations where on 335 rogue brings the target form 100% hp to 40% hp (easily survived), here he brings it form 100% to 10% (almost died). Last example was made on assuption of 600 resilience difference and some armor difference which makes nominal dmage reduction also around x1.5.
Or very simple: you have damage increase x1.5 and you have hp pool increase x1.5 + resilience reduction x1.5. So you can look on this either that damage is the same but you have 20k hp instead of 30k. Or that the damage (in % of target's hp) would be the same if you had as much resislince as you have on 335 (what's explained above).

Interesting, and after all this time you or anybody else haven't found out, nor known, that pet combat was this way on live aswell? It doesn't make sense, but it's not a bug if you look at it from retail point of view. What's interesting more is that if you have indeed been reporting this numerous times, why haven't a competent staff member responded to you with appropriate explanation?
Actually now that i checked wrath-arena bug report section,what the auther probably meant is not the maintaining combat part but that pets get insta combat without hitting anybody, he should have been more clear about that. And that is indeed wrong and is very gamebraking for anybody who get's affected by it. However if you send pet to attack target (at least it is supposed to be so for warlocks) you shouldn't be able to get sap although you dont get "real" combat. As for the shaman's wolves, they were getting combat on summon as far as i remember myself on blackrock server, i dont know how it was on retail though.

Yes, this is the exact issue. Classes with pets can enter combat long before I can reach them when the gates open, even with sprint and shadowstep. This makes some comps literally impossible to beat if they're aware of this bug or if they rush, simply because there is no way to open on them cleanly.
