Coming from Nostalrius this seems like the best option for someone who is interested in playing WotLK. The server seems great overall, good community, blizzlike, well scripted, functional website etc.
I do however have a problem with people being able to buy items. In my opinion, there are two main issues with retail WoW right now which did not exist in WotLK.
The first one being a problem of no sense of community coupled with completely effortless group- and raidfinding.
The second problem is that of item value, ladder-type progression and the metric of investing time to gain items. I know that you do not sell the best gear available, but by selling items you are doing just what WoW is doing right now. It is possible for someone to get instantly equipped with a really good basic set of gear for virtually no effort at all, thus skipping the progression for the cost of money.
I have a job and thus have the money available to buy all the items I need. I do however not want to be able to compare my real life time spent working with items in-game. After a number of games just slightly losing to people with hateful gladiator weapons in arena I will get pissed and buy some myself. Why farm for ages when I can work for an hour and just buy it? Why not completely outfit myself with all the available pay-to-win gear?
As such I will not make a character here yet, but I do suggest that you make a server which is run without a store. I'm sure I'm not the only one with this mindset. Make it sub-only, have a fee for people to play there. Even make it monthly, I don't mind. I just want a truly Blizzlike server.
Sincerely,

PS. Don't take this personally, this is simply my subjective utopian idea of how a private server should be. I am not suggesting that any monetization is wrong, simply that this is not the way to do it. DS.
